The sheriff's office reportedly said he is still awaiting trial.

Mabius' mug shot was later shared by the sheriff's office and shows the actor wearing a striped orange top and looking like he's sustained some sort of injury to his face, around one of his eyes appearing discoloured.

UNILAD has contacted Nassau County Sheriff's Office and representatives for Eric Mabius for comment.

Mabius is best known for playing Daniel Meade in ABC's Ugly Betty.

In the long-running comedy series, Mabius' role of Daniel doesn't start off on the best foot with Betty (America Ferrera) however, the pair end up growing close and well, if you haven't seen the series or were planning on rewatching it soon, I won't ruin it for you.

Mabius also appeared on shows such as The L Word on Showtime and starred in films such as 1999's Cruel Intentions, The Crow: Salvation (2000), and Resident Evil (2002).

Since 2013, Mabius has starred in Signed, Sealed, Delivered a long-running Hallmark Channel series which sees him play the role of Oliver O'Toole.

When promoting Signed, Sealed, Delivered: A Tale of Three Letters in 2024, Mabius reflected on his role in Ugly Betty and continued friendship with his cast mates.

He told US Weekly: "I had so much fun working with everyone. I don't have a bad word to say about any single one of them."

While admitting the cast doesn't meet up as much as they used to, Mabius revealed how much he loved them and how he keeps 'tabs on their careers as they evolve'.

He added: "[Seeing] Becki Newton on The Lincoln Lawyer and reading about Michael Urie’s conquest on Broadway. It's great.

"It’s like hearing about your siblings doing really well in the world, and it's a really great feeling."

Reflecting on people who may be showing their kids Ugly Betty for the first time, Mabius noted how 'neat' it is that older fans now have 'a whole other type of experiencing watching the show' too.
