RFK Jr has raised some eyebrows after he spoke about the US’s fertility rates in a new speech.
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. ( RFK Jr.) spoke at the White House on Thursday (October 16) and made some head-scratching comments about fertility rates.
He insisted that the US's declining birth rate was caused by endocrine disruptors and described the declining birth rate as a national security issue.
He argued that Donald Trump was addressing this issue ‘through his MAHA agenda of reducing endocrine disruptors, the exposures, the chemicals that decrease fertility.”

He continued: "When my uncle was president, the fertility rate in this country was 3.5%. Today, it is 1.6%. The replacement rate, in other words, the amount of fertility that you need in order to keep your population even is 2.1%. We are below replacement, right now.
“Today the average teenager in this country has 50 percent of the sperm count, 50 percent of the testosterone of a 65-year-old man.

“Our girls are hitting puberty six years early and that is bad but also our parents aren’t having children.

“Parents that want to have children do not have access. I have seven children, I feel God has blessed me with that and I can’t imagine how different my life would be if I did not have that blessing.”
Despite his claims, experts in the medical and scientific community have noted that sperm counts are known to decline with age, meaning a teenage boy is likely to have a much higher count than a man in his sixties.
RFK Jr’s comments have already spread on to social media platforms and some have questioned the validity of his statements, as well as questioning how the data was obtained.
One user on Reddit wrote: “How the f*** is the government getting sperm counts on teenagers? This is insane.”

Another added: “If teenage boy has 10 sperm and teenage girl has 0 sperm, the average teen has 5 sperm which is 50%.”

A third wrote: “Not having kids cause people can’t afford housing you f****** MAGA schill.”
While another frustrated user added: “What he stated about teenage boys vs 65 year old men is patently false. He makes these inflammatory claims, incites a reaction and meanwhile nothing he said is based in fact. He’s just throwing s*** against the wall to see if anything sticks."

With another simply mocked RFK Jr, by pointing out: “The average American has only one testicle!”
