Warning: This article contains discussion of child abuse which some readers may find distressing.

Authorities have revealed the horrifying search history of a mother arrested on suspicion of child neglect.

On January 3, Savawna Bowen and Daquan White from Oklahoma, US, were arrested in connection to the death of their four-month-old son nearly a year prior on January 11, 2024.

Bowen was charged with one count of felony child neglect, and White faces charges of child abuse and murder. Authorities are accusing Bowen of knowing her child was injured and failing to seek medical treatment soon enough, citing her alleged online search history.

Bowen reportedly left her children - a two-year-old and the four-month-old - in White's care while visiting her boyfriend, an affidavit obtained by KOTV and cited by Law & Crime states.

When she returned on January 3, it's alleged the 23-year-old noticed a red mark on her youngest child's leg and when she questioned White about it, he said he'd picked the baby up and heard a 'popping sound'.

Despite this, Bowen reportedly left her children in his care again and went to see friends, returning back eight hours later to find the four-month-old crying.

White reportedly admitted to putting his fingers in the child's mouth and pressing down to stop him from crying, the affidavit claims.

It wasn't until several days later Bowen took the four-month-old to the emergency room, and police later allegedly discovered an alarming search history on Bowen's device.

On January 3, Bowen reportedly searched online for 'popped leg'. The following day, she also is said to have searched for 'baby's femur is sticking out', and on January 7, she allegedly searched for 'baby not able to move mouth' and 'mouth swollen'.

On January 8, Bowen then took the four-month-old to hospital. It seems, unfortunately, this came too late for the boy, as police report the child was ascertained as having a broken femur, broken ribs, a broken jaw, and severe brain injury, and passed away on January 11.

Bowen has been posted on a $10,000 bail and remains in Tulsa County Jail.
