Warning: This article contains discussion of suicide which some readers may find distressing.

A mom who took her own life gave a heartbreaking final message to her daughter on the day that she died.

On May 5 of this year, Larissa Brady attended her daughter's Ohio State University (OSU) graduation at Ohio Stadium.

Like the other parents and loved ones of those celebrating their big day, Larissa had gone into the stands to seemingly watch the ceremony.

But around 12:30pm local time first responders were called after a person was reported to have fallen from the stands and died.

A spokesperson from OSU confirmed at the time, as per The Columbus Dispatch: "An individual fell from the stands. They are deceased.

"We have no additional details to share at this time. Police and emergency responders are on scene. For anyone affected by today's incident, we will make counseling and other support resources available."

The person was later identified as 53-year-old mom Larissa and her death has now been ruled as a suicide. Her fingerprints were used to determine her identity.

Elsewhere in the autopsy report obtained by People it said that Larissa had died from blunt force trauma.

Before taking her own life, Larissa spoke to her daughter who was graduating that day and reportedly shared a heartfelt sentiment to her.

She's said to have told her child that she 'loved her and would always be her mother'.

Witnesses claim they saw Larissa climb over the stadium's concrete wall and fall 150 meters to her death.

Before her tragic events, Larissa had reportedly tried to take her own life on two other occasions - one being earlier this year.

The late mother had history of mental health issues including bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder and anxiety, states the autopsy report.

Despite the harrowing events on the day, the graduation ceremony went ahead as planned.

It was reported at the time that 12,000 students had been there that fateful day and it isn't clear if Larissa's daughter was aware of her mother's passing before getting her diploma.

Some are only said to have learnt of the death after walking past the scene of the tragedy after the ceremony, which was still cordoned off with yellow police tape.
