Classified CIA project claimed to have discovered 'alien civilization' on dark side of the moon

Documents from a government program handled by the CIA claim that an 'alien civilization' exists on the Moon.

As clairvoyance surged in popularity in the 1970s, government agencies jumped on board the 'New Age' spiritualism movement by employing members of the public who expressed psychic abilities to work on projects with them.

One of those was Ingo Swann, who was tasked with 'remote viewing' - a process in which individuals who claim to harness the ability can see things from a distance in their minds.

Swann, who was born in Colorado in 1933, was sworn to secrecy while he carried out his duties - which involved him experiencing psychic episodes and detailing to the CIA what he saw.

One of these trips allegedly took him to the far side of the Moon, also known as the 'dark side of the Moon', which is the part that consistently faces away from Earth.

In a tell-all book released in 1998 titled Penetration: The Question of Extraterrestrial and Human Telepathy, Swann made bombshell claims that he had witnessed an extra-terrestrial civilization living on the Moon.

Swann, who sadly died in 2013, detailed how he was employed by the CIA for his psychic abilities and was told he was not able to reveal anything that went on in the government program - known as Project Stargate - for 'at least 10 years'.

He explained in his book that he received a call from Washington DC asking for his help in a secret project back in February 1975.

When he met with a government agent he knew only as 'Mr Axelrod', he had a bag placed over his head and was bundled into a chopper. From there he claims he was taken to an underground base.

"We want you to go to the Moon for us, and describe what you see," Swann claimed was the order that came from Axelrod.

Explaining what he saw on the dark side of the moon - some 238,000 miles away - in his vision, he wrote: "I found towers, machinery, lights of different colors, strange-looking buildings.

"I found bridges whose function I couldn't figure out. There were a lot of domes of various sizes."

And among the infrastructure were aliens that donned no clothes and Swann believed them all to be male.

As they were mining the crates of the Moon, two of these aliens he claimed looked up at his consciousness.

"Two of them pointed in my direction," he penned. "How could they do that… unless… they have some kind of high psychic perceptions, too?"

Swann shared how he took what he saw to 'Mr Axelrod', before asking him whether the US had been into contact with this alien life force that he had just witnessed.

Explaining what he said to the government agent, he wrote: "They somehow have told you to stay away. That's why you are resorting to psychic perceptions. They are not friendly, are they?"

Claiming 'Mr Axelrod' replied: "[Swann was] approximately correct… but not completely so."
