Taking a break from running the country on Tuesday (August 5), the Republican president decided to go for a walk on the White House roof.

Yes, you read that correctly. Rather than taking a stroll through the gardens of the presidential home, Trump decided to take to the roof for some fresh air.
The president was joined by a small group of aides and the Secret Service on the roof of the White House, with the cameras capturing the POTUS' every move.
"Mr. President, what are you doing up there?" one journalist could be heard shouting, which led to Trump shouting back: "Just taking a little walk." As you do, Mr President!
Trump seemed to suggest more renovation works are going on in the White House, as he added: "It goes with the ballroom, which is on the other side."
The president went on to say that it's 'just more ways to spend my money', with him clarifying: "Anything I do is financed by me."

The clip of Trump on the White House roof has gone viral, and many people on the likes of Twitter and other forms of social media are losing it over the president's response.
"How is he always so funny?" one person penned on X. A second added: "Never shall see his like again."
While a third remarked: "Imagine being POTUS and not going for a stroll on top of The White House."

The majority of Trump's walk was captured on camera, though he did go out of shot for a few minutes to look out toward the South Lawn of the White House.
When the president returned, another reporter asked him, 'What are you trying to build?', to which Trump joked: 'Nuclear missiles'.
ABC News reports Trump ignored a question on Gaza before bringing an end to his stroll on the White House roof and heading back inside.
Since returning to the office for a second term back in January, Trump has certainly been a busy man amid his breaks on the White House roof.
