Mary Trump has spoken out about why the POTUS, her uncle, has 'declared war to save himself' amid the US' attack on Iran.

Mary - who has a YouTube channel called Mary Trump Media - took to the platform on March 4 to share a video titled 'Trump Declares War to Save Himself'.

Her upload comes just days after the US and Israel launched a joint attack on Iran, leading to the Middle Eastern country to retaliate by launching its own strikes on American assets and allies across the Gulf.

Starting off the video strong, Mary, whose late father Fred Trump was the elder brother of the president, begins: "It surpasses understanding that any sentient person would believe a word that comes out of Donald's mouth."

Reflecting on various times the POTUS' words haven't aligned with his actions, Mary argued why it's the case with Iran too.

The video's caption questions: "Trump launches an unconstitutional war with Iran as chaos erupts and civilians die. Is this about 'national security'—or a desperate distraction from his unraveling scandals?"

And in the footage itself, Mary reflects back to the strikes in June last year 'against Iranian nuclear sites'.

"They were necessary, we were told, to stop of at least hobble Iran's nuclear program," she continues. "According to Donald, that mission was successful and the country's nuclear capabilities were 'obliterated'. That is a direct quote."

However, Mary highlights how 'now' Trump is 'telling us that he declared war on Iran over the weekend in part, because the country is developing nuclear weapons that 'could soon reach the American homeland'.

"His concern over this possibility of course is believed by the fact that he unilaterally withdrew the US from the Joint Comprehensive plan of action also known as the JCPOA , or the Iran nuclear deal, which was specifically designed to limit Iran's uranium enrichment program in exchange for the easing of economic sanctions."

Trump has also said the latest attack is about seeking 'regime change' in Iran, Mary notes.

Mary continues: "The Iranian people have suffered long and horribly under the cruel and repressive authoritarian theocracy currently in power. They deserve to be free, and they deserve the ability to determine their own system of governance."

Indeed, the White House released a statement earlier this week justifying the attack as defending against '47 years of Iranian aggression - including attacks on US citizens, sponsorship of global terrorism, and brutal oppression of its own people'.

However, Mary argues 'the man who is bombing their country has no interest in them, and he has no plan to create the conditions in which they can become free, or support the efforts to create an alternative to the current regime'.

She questions 'how exactly' the US is 'backing' the Iranian people, before arguing: "He cares even less about the future of the Iranian people. There's no plan now because there never has been a plan.

"Donald wreaks havoc and then he expects other people to pick up the rubble of his destruction. To date, this has worked for him because he never suffers the consequences of his reckless and ill-considered actions.

"For Donald, there is one reason and one reason alone. He's in trouble and he knows it. This isn't simply about changing the subject. That, of course, would be bad enough.

"This is to keep himself and the world from knowing what an inept, depraved, compromised fraud he is. This is about his unfathomable desperation to avoid being humiliated."

She resolved Trump is 'a desperately weak man who needs to distract people from that fact just as he needs something to shore up his failing ability to feel powerful'.
