Everyone is pointing out major issue as Trump deploys 2000 National Guard troops to disperse protests

Immigration protestors and rioters have been standing off with police in LA and Donald Trump has now intervened but faces criticism for one simple reason.

Protests and demonstrations have been going on for the last few days outside the Los Angeles Federal Building in the downtown area of LA, following raids by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the area.

However, on Saturday (June 7), tensions began to rise further with Donald Trump taking steps to quell the demonstrations ‘the way it should be solved'.

California’s Governor Gavin Newsom confirmed that Trump’s administration is deploying 2,000 California National Guard troops following clashes between citizens and ICE officers in riot gear.

He took to social media to condemn this move with Trump hitting back at him in response.

Newsom said: “The federal government is sowing chaos so they can have an excuse to escalate. That is not the way any civilized country behaves."

Trump replied on Truth Social saying: “If Governor Gavin Newscum, of California, and Mayor Karen Bass, of Los Angeles, can't do their jobs, which everyone knows they can't, then the Federal Government will step in and solve the problem, RIOTS & LOOTERS, the way it should be solved!!!”

Trump’s move has been widely condemned on Twitter with many pointing out the fact that Trump failed to call the National Guard in when the January 6 rioters attempted to storm the Capitol.

One furious Twitter user commented: “President Biden never needed to send National Guard troops to LA for protests, and trump REFUSED to send them to the Capitol on January 6th.

“This is part of trump's fascist Project 2025 takeover. Full blown authoritarianism is here.”

Another added: “Trump refused to call in the National Guard when it was most needed. Let that sink in.”

A third commented: “Notice how quickly trump send National Guard troops to L.A. to calm immigration protests but refused to do the same on Jan. 6 when his supporters were storming the Capitol.”

Another simply wrote: “So Trump deploys the National Guard to LA, but didn’t deploy them on J6?”

Following the National Guard’s deployment, Trump again took to Truth Social to praise them, levy criticism at Newsom and Bass while also insisting that protestors would no longer be permitted to wear face masks.

He wrote: “Great job by the National Guard in Los Angeles after two days of violence, clashes and unrest. We have an incompetent Governor (Newscum) and Mayor (Bass) who were, as usual (just look at how they handled the fires, and now their very slow permitting disaster. Federal permitting is complete!), unable to handle the task.

“These Radical Left protests, by instigators and often paid troublemakers, will not be tolerated. Also, from now on, masks will not be allowed to be worn at protests. What do these people have to hide and why Again, thank you to the National Guard for a job well done.”
