Bryan Johnson surprised his fans when his experience of dosing magic mushrooms was shared on social media.
Johnson, also known as the biohacker who 'wants to live forever', has built up a reputation online as he details the many steps he is taking to ultimately 'reverse' his biological age.
The tech multi-millionaire regularly shares the seemingly bizarre methods and lengths he will go to, to make himself younger.
Advert
The 48-year-old has previously claimed his crazy experiment helped him achieve the 'heart of a 37-year-old' and the 'lung capacity of an 18-year-old'.
In a barrage of new social media posts, Johnson revealed he would be taking a dose of magic mushrooms and recording his findings, if any.

The co-founder of his business Blueprint, Kate Tolo, took to X on November 9 to say that Johnson had taken 'five grams of magic mushrooms'.
She said she would be 'confiscating his phone' and reporting his progress.
Five grams or more is known as a ‘heroic dose’ and was coined by American philosopher Terence McKenna, who was one of the most famous supporters of magic mushrooms.
A macro dose is considered to be around 3.5 grams so a ‘heroic dose’ is considered particularly high.
The first hour

Sharing an image of Johnson resting with his eyes covered, Tolo said that he had commented on how much he ‘loves’ the drum music he has been listening to.
She added that his sense of time had ‘definitely warped’ and he felt more of it had passed than truly had.
Tolo noted that Johnson had spoken of having a ‘lovely time’ and he had a ‘strong desire to look after the people in the room’.
She closed the update stating that he had begun having hallucinations and had started giggling, appearing to have a ‘fantastic time’, according to Tolo.
Fixated

The second update was brief but showed Johnson still lying down, this time seemingly fixated on a cup.
Tolo also noted that he had to go to the bathroom and that he had been staring at the cup ‘for 10 minutes’.
Distracted and laughing

Tolo said she then struggled to take measurements from Johnson, including a vial of spit which she added ‘was not easy’.
The other measurements they did included a brain scan, blood pressure check and adrenal stress test.
Despite this, she said there was laughter going on with Johnson reflecting on the universe and concluding that ‘we’re all one’, adding that he said he wanted to go back to bed and ‘return to the playground’.
Enjoying his food

Three pictures of Johnson were shown for this update, showing the millionaire smiling gleefully while eating a salad.
The caption simply quoted him and read: “The best salad I've ever eaten.”
More insights to come...

Tolo concluded that she would be returning Johnson’s phone, who took to giving a brief update to fans.
Unfortunately, he would not give his own description of what he experienced until later.
Johnson wrote: “Yes, this trip changed me. Probably not as you’d expect.
“People assume I am fearful of death. I’m not. In my darkest days of depression, I reconciled with death.
“Need a few days to collect my thoughts. Will share more soon.”
