Bad Bunny made history with his Super Bowl halftime show and fans were delighted after learning the true meaning behind a wedding moment during his performance.

While the majority of people were interested in Super Bowl LX for the clash between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks, others were hyped for another reason; rapper Bad Bunny.

The Puerto Rican rapper made history by being the first Spanish-language performer to solo headline the performance.

Bad Bunny, real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, packed his 15 minute set with Latin American cultural and artistic references, something that resonated with viewers.

One moment in particular was a brief moment where a couple appeared to get married on one of the biggest stages of America.

Following the performance, many people were both surprised and delighted to learn that the unnamed couple that tied the knot weren’t actors but rather a real couple.

Bad Bunny’s representatives said that the couple seen in a white tuxedo and wedding gown actually did get married.

The couple had sent a wedding invitation to the Puerto Rican rapper and received an invitation to the halftime show instead.

Bunny even signed the marriage certificate and a wedding cake was provided as well, with a release from the artist saying that they ‘turned the moment into a joyful celebration unfolding in real time’, according to NBC news.

On social media, some people claimed they had a feeling the moment was real based on the couple’s behavior.

On Reddit, one user wrote: “So THAT's why the couple cutting the cake looked so genuinely and sincerely thrilled.”

Another added: “I wish I could understand the words, but I got some of it from the context. I was hoping it was a real marriage, but assumed it was just an act.”

A third added: “They looked so genuinely happy and in love me and my friends decided it must be real, happy to have it confirmed. Whole thing was so joyous.”

While another commented: “Imagine getting married at the super bowl during Bad Bunny's halftime show and your (admittedly short) reception guests include Lady Gaga and Bad Bunny.”

It is not clear whether some of the people in the background of the wedding were friends and family members or just backup dancers and actors for the performance itself, however.

To top off the performance there were also plenty of celebrity cameos including Cardi B, Jessica Alba, Karol G, Young Miko and Pedro Pascal.
