Declassified CIA documents claim to reveal where the Ark of Covenant is after thousands of years

The Ark of Covenant is a golden chest that reportedly once held the Ten Commandments

While many people have been discussing the recently declassified JFK files, there's some older CIA documents that are doing the rounds online.

The American government is no stranger to unsealing once-confidential information, with the Trump administration following through with its promise to declassify documentation on JFK's 1963 assassination.

President Trump said that in doing so it would 'reveal the truth' about JFK's murder, but the unsealing of the files have seemingly caused issues rather than generate long-awaited answers.

Away from the files on the late president's death, files that were unsealed back in 2000 are being discussed on social media.

This information is relating to the Ark of Covenant — a golden chest that's said to have once held the tablets with the Ten Commandments on them, which had been engraved by God for Moses on Mount Sinai.

Popular Mechanics explains: "Remote viewing refers to a type of extra-sensorial perception that involves using the mind to 'see' or manipulate distant objects, people, events, or other information that are hidden from physical view."

And this technique was supposedly used when one agent was tasked with finding the infamous Ark of Covenant.

One particular report dated December 8, 1988, details an agent's task of locating the Ark of Covenant using remote viewing.

The CIA began to investigate the idea of using paranormal phenomena in the military and wanted to train people to be able to do 'remote viewing' in a bid to gather information.

WHAT WE'VE LEARNED FROM DECLASSIFIED JFK ASSASSINATION FILES

CLASSIFIED CIA EXPERIMENT CLAIMS THERE'S PYRAMIDS ON MARS

In these experiments, the 'viewer' wasn't told what the objects were that they were looking for, but the desired target was written down on a piece of paper.

As the viewer didn't know what they were searching for, they were then 'guided' through the process by someone else.

The files in question detail remote viewer #32's mission and what they saw, as per New York Post.

"Target is a container. This container has another container inside of it. The target is fashioned of wood, gold and silver. The target is similar in shape to (AOL) a coffin, and is decorated with seraphim," the summary of the experiment reads.

"The target is located somewhere in the Middle East as the language spoken by individuals present seemed to be Arabic," it continues.

"The target is hidden -- underground, dark and wet were all aspects of location of the target."

Elsewhere, the viewer claimed that the target was 'protected by entities and can only be opened by those who are authorized to do so'.
