Plane etiquette is a tricky one, and one that can cause a lot of heated debates on social media.

And with the summer months fast approaching, many prepare for a few weeks in the sun.

Whether it be a trip to sunny California, or the white beaches of the Mediterranean, there are a lot of hot destinations to explore.

But before all of that, you have to navigate the airport chaos and everything that comes with it.

That doesn't end when you're onboard either, as there is the topic of plane etiquette to be had there too.

Well, one TikToker has sparked discussion after sharing his thoughts on the 'worst' type of passenger.

Daniel Bennett, known as @dxnielbennett on the popular video platform, shared his thoughts in a short and snappy 30-second clip.

"The easiest way to tell if someone is a good person in an airport is to see where they put their luggage when they get on a plane," Bennett said in the video.

"If they put their carry-on luggage in the overhead compartment and they put their personal item — like their backpack or their purse — under the seat, they're a good person and they're aware of their surroundings."

But then the TikToker described the 'worst' passenger, who he sees as someone who places small personal items in the overheard lockers.

Of course, them compartments are for carry-on luggage, with Bennett saying those who don't use it as such should head 'straight to jail'.

The video has gone viral on TikTok, with close to 6,000 people having their say in the comments section.

"You can tell A LOT about a person depending on their airport actions," one person commented.

A second added: "I love it when a flight attendant takes small items out, hands it back to the owner, and puts my carryon in instead 🥰 happened a couple lucky times," while a third remarked: "I’m a flight attendant and I 100000% agree and I lose brain cells watching this happen when we say to not do that 100 times during boarding."

Some other people offered a different perspective, with said user quipping: "Unpopular opinion but if they only have a backpack (no carry on suitcase) that can go in the bin."

People online will always find something that divides them when it comes to plane etiquette, and with summer holidays just around the corner, we can all expect more debates being had in every corner of the internet.
