A simulation has revealed what would actually happen if you were swallowed by a whale, as a new survival thriller explores the terrifying prospect of being trapped inside one of the ocean’s largest creatures.
While being swallowed by a whale sounds like something out of a nightmare, the terrifying possibility has long fascinated people, leaving many to wonder whether it would actually be possible to survive such an ordeal.
But now, the stomach-churning scenario is being brought to life in Whalefall, a fictional film that explores what happens when the unthinkable becomes a fight for survival.

The movie follows Jay Gardiner, played by Austin Abrams, who ventures into the Pacific Ocean off the coast of California to search for his late father's remains.
However, his mission takes a terrifying turn when he is swallowed by a giant sperm whale, leaving him trapped inside its body with just one hour of oxygen left to survive.

While survival is possible, as lobster diver Michael Packard discovered after his terrifying encounter with a whale in 2021, most people would likely face a far less fortunate fate.
A video showcasing the simulation was shared on the Zackdfilms YouTube channel has got vowing to keep out the ocean for foreseeable future. Take a look below:
The narrator says: “If you were swallowed by a sperm whale you would be squeezed down its massive throat. You’d continue down its esophagus and into a series of stomach chambers that are filled with digestive acids,”
This is certainly as terrible as it sounds and this is emphasized by the dummy used in the simulation having a permanent screaming face.
The narrator continued: “These acids would immediately start breaking down your body but even if you managed to avoid the acid, the lack of air inside the whale would quickly cause you to suffocate.”
So honestly, I don’t know how Jonah managed it.
And people online even noted to top it all off, this would be happening in the dark unless the whale had also swallowed some working lights as well.

“Bro I swear this channel gives me unlocking phobias,” one person on social media commented.
“What makes it scarier is that theres no light and the smell, whenever you try to ask for help no one would hear you and you will just rot there,” another added.
“This is ACTUALLY traumatizing, not just a slightly weird animation,” said another.
