Study reveals whether a man's penis size actually matters

It's not what you've got, it's what you do with it

A new study has answered whether penis size really is important.

It's a question which plays on the mind of many men, or indeed anyone with a penis - does size matter?

If we are to believe the lyrics of Taylor Swift's new song 'Wood', then it seems there may well be something in size.

Swift isn't alone either, as when actress Ava Gardner was quizzed about how Frank Sinatra was in the sack, she allegedly replied: “He is only 110 pounds, but 10 pounds of it is c**k!”

Now, a new study has examined whether it really matters if you're packing a pintle of priapic proportions that would do a stallion credit, or something you could barely pick your teeth with.

So what did the study find?

Well, sorry to break it to you chaps, but it found that size does indeed matter.

Researchers from Monash University, the Australian National (ANU), and La Trobe University published their findings in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science.

To carry out their research, they projected life-size 3D images of different body types and showed them to 105 women and asked them to rank the attractiveness.

It's a tough job, ladies, but someone's got to do it.

The researchers found that participants tended to rank bodies with larger penises as more attractive.

Researcher Wong wrote: “There is always much debate on the subject, and we wanted to address the notion of whether size matters using a valid scientific approach.

“Our study altered several male body parts at once using life-size, 3D figures to show for the first time that penis size has different effects on attractiveness depending on height and body shape.”

However, penis size was far from the only factor, with height also having a big influence.

While having something substantial down there can be an asset, there sometimes comes a point where the law of diminishing returns comes into play.

After all, if the old chap is so large that someone can't sleep with their partner without causing them pain or discomfort because of the sheer size of the thing, that's hardly an asset in the bedroom.

And if you are someone who prefers sleeping with people who have a vagina, take note that in women, sexual satisfaction is higher among lesbians than women who sleep with men in terms of how often women report orgasming during sex.

So don't dismay if you are less than well-endowed - you don't need a penis at all to keep your lover happy, let alone a big one.
