Donald Trump’s recent 60 Minutes interview has raised some eyebrows.

It wasn’t too long ago that Trump was embroiled in a lawsuit with Paramount Global, the company that owns the TV station after the POTUS claimed it had edited his political competition’s interview.

In the end, Paramount Global agreed to pay $16 million, but refused to apologize for editing a section of former Vice-President Kamala Harris’s interview pre-election.

Trump filed a lawsuit last October, alleging the network edited the interview that aired on its 60 Minutes program to ‘tip the scales in favour of the Democratic party’.

A spokesperson for Trump's legal team at the time called that a ‘win for the American people’, stating: "CBS and Paramount Global realized the strength of this historic case and had no choice but to settle. President Trump will always ensure that no one gets away with lying to the American people."

However, CBS denied the allegation of trying to deceive its viewers when Harris’ answer about the Israel-Gaza war was allegedly cut for time, in accordance with television news standards.

Even though Trump was victorious in his claim, many people have pointed out something important after it was revealed that his recently broadcasted interview was also cut.

CBS aired a 28-minute version of the Trump's chat with journalist Norah O'Donnell for TV before releasing a 73-minute extended cut online.

According to a full transcript on CBS’ website, a portion of the end of the interview didn’t appear to be televised.

In the transcript, Trump can be seen as bringing up the lawsuit between himself and its parent company.

"And actually 60 Minutes paid me a lotta money. And you don’t have to put this on, because I don’t wanna embarrass you," he said.

At the end of the interview, Trump was about people he has pardoned, particularly crypto billionaire Changpeng Zhao, who was released in September after being charged with money-laundering violations.

"I don’t know who he is," the US president said. "I know he got a four-month sentence or something like that, and I heard it was a Biden witch hunt."

Trump then went on to speak about Harris and the lawsuit.

What he was seen talking about in the transcripts has left people claiming ‘Kamala should sue’ and that Trump was seemingly being hypocritical of having suggesting CBS cut his talk about the lawsuit.

One user added: "Didn’t Trump sue CBS for doing something similar with Kamala Harris?"

The president added afterwards: "But 60 Minutes was forced to pay me - a lot of money because they took her answer out that was so bad, it was election-changing, two nights before the election. And they put a new answer in. And they paid me a lot of money for that. You can’t have fake news. You’ve gotta have legit news. And I think that it’s happening."

A White House spokesperson told LADbible Group: "President Trump gave a powerhouse interview for over an hour that covered a wide range of topics, including the historic 10 months America has had under his leadership."

LADbible Group has contacted Paramount Global for comment.
