MrBeast is as mega as YouTubers come - at just 24 years old, the social media star has racked up a whopping 105 million YouTube followers and shows no sign of slowing down.

But what you might not know is that MrBeast’s manager helped him gain 99 percent of his following.

Meet Reed Duchscher, a 33-year-old talent manager who started out in the NFL before making the leap to YouTube talent.

Speaking on the Iced Coffee podcast last year, Duchscher revealed that when he first met MrBeast - real name Jimmy Donaldson - the YouTuber had around 1.3 million followers, which has grown by nearly 100 percent since Duchscher started managing him.

Duchscher explained: “I met Jimmy through a Twitter DM in 2018. A friend of ours started a Twitter group and he was like, ‘you guys need to meet’.

“Jimmy had like, 1.3 million subscribers at the time, which is crazy to say now. And we just hit it off from the beginning.”

MrBeast has been behind some of the wildest internet stunts in recent memory, and one of his most famous escapades involved opening 300 MrBeast Burgers Restaurants in one day

MrBeast launched the restaurant chain back in 2020, and as of June this year, his lip-smacking burgers could also be ordered in the UK.

In a more recent interview, Duchscher opened up about the stunt, revealing just how crazy it actually was launching the burger chain.

Speaking on the Iced Coffee podcast, Duchscher revealed that when he first met MrBeast he had around 1.3 million followers.

He told YouTubers Colin and Samir over summer: “The sheer amount of orders on that first night was so wild.

“We had like 100 cars waiting outside restaurants waiting for their orders and there weren’t enough delivery drivers to order the amount of hamburgers that were being ordered.”

Duchscher continued: “Every place was running out of buns and hamburgers. And so people were calling me like we don’t have any more buns and then someone would have to drive to a grocery store to get buns and it was just utter circus.”

MrBeast’s manager said they were having to run customer service between just the two of them, sharing: “Jimmy and I like sat on our couches and we were on Twitter for like six hours or plus.

“We had no customer support and people were just yelling on Twitter about not receiving their orders for like two hours. He and I were just playing damage control.”
