People are flooding to social media in debate after an Uber Eats driver revealed how much they make per order.

Have you ever stood in your doorway hungover on a Sunday morning, contemplating how much you're dreading going into work the next day and whether you should give up your day job and work as a delivery driver?

No? Just me? Well, one delivery driver who lives in Las Vegas has since opened up about how much money she makes on the job and it may help you make your mind up.

Karyna Diaz took to her TikTok to break down exactly how much she made per order she delivered during one Uber Eats shift driving a car.

She took into account how much base pay she received, alongside tips, as well as how far she had to travel to deliver each order.

In the video, she explains Uber Eats drivers find out how much they can get for a particular job when it pops up on their app - which includes the base pay and the tip - and that they can then choose which jobs they want to take.

She continues: "I already picked up my first order. This one's from Chick-fil-A. This one's $7 for only three miles…Just got my second order. This one's from The Bar. It's $8 for two miles away."

"Just got another order. This one is from Egg Works. This is paying $10 for three miles… Just got an order from Einstein Bros. This one is $7 for two miles away," she says. "Just picked up a Taco Bell order. This one is $8 for two miles… 7/11 order. This one was $5 for just one mile."

At the end of her shift, Diaz revealed by only accepting more profitable orders she made $172 after working seven hours in a 'rich area'.

She also clarified she spent $25 on gas, meaning that after that expense it came to $147 for the seven hours.

And Diaz noted she also sees Uber Eats job as a side hustle, noting her main role is being a stay at home mom, but she hops in the car every now and again to gain a bit of extra cash.

And it's not taken long for people to flock to the comments to share their thoughts on the pay.

One pointed out that the figures here are not representative of every location, writing: "It’s most deff not a good side hustle.

"SAHM, I work about 5-8hrs and barely reach $40 in my area. Mind you my gas is $50."

Another said: "Such a good side hustle! I do this on my days off of work."

A third wrote: "The orders I get be like '$9 dollars, 12 miles'."

Information on Uber's website explains that drivers can be paid by a weekly bank transfer.

They can also take out an 'Uber Pro Card', effectively an Uber debit card which is attached to a checking account. If they choose this option then they can cash out payments for orders as they come in.
