A new survey has revealed the age in which zoomers believe people are 'old', and if you've already clocked into your twenties, your time might be running out.
Okay, that might have been worded wrong - no one's dying but almost a quarter of Gen Z believe old age starts at an age which many millennials have already reached.
The survey, conducted by EduBirdie - a platform where students can hire professional writers to assist them with their essays, saw 2,000 Gen Z and young millennials age-related questions... and if you're a millennial it might not come as easy reading.
While it doesn't mention how old the 'young' members of Generation Y who were surveyed are - the grouping runs from 1981 to 1996, meaning the eldest are 44 years old and youngest being 29.

Meanwhile, us zoomers are aged between 13 and 28 - and if you're at the top of that age bracket like me, then you may be concerned to hear that three percent of Gen Z believe old age starts at 27... ouch.
Surprisingly, 22 percent of Gen Z consider those aged 35 to be old - which might add to Harry Potter star Emma Watson's misery, after having been banned from driving on Wednesday (July 16).
EduBirdie writes: "Millennials are far from retirement, and Gen Zers are still the baby generation. Yet, many are certain that old age is fast upon them.

"Some 22% of Gen Zers say 35 is already over the hill, while 35% of millennials believe 40, which some of their generation has already reached, is the age when youth expires."

Still, just over half of Gen Z participants believe 50 and over is the age in which you're deemed old, while just shy of two-thirds of the young millennials who also partook in the survey, estimate that your 50th birthday marks the start of old age.
Now, when it comes to what age participants believe someone becomes undesirable, the response is actually overwhelmingly positive... if you're a pensioner anyway.

Seven percent of Gen Z believe 27 to be the age in which your looks will leave you, while a third believe your past it by the time you're 40.
Of course, that's not the positive to come from the survey, instead it's the fact that a third of Gen Z believe your age doesn't automatically make you undesirable - with 44 percent of millennials also thinking that way.
