When they were asked about the 'single hardest habit' to break in their staggering weight-loss journey, the diet specialist said breaking the cycle of 'emotional and mindless eating' that came from living with a bakery worker who brought freebies home.

"This caused me to have an emotional relationship with food. Over time I was able to break that with strict discipline and self control," they shared, before adding their simple game-changing rule.

They said: "It was definitely a huge game-changer. Over time I fell in love with healthy food in general as well as dieting & weight lifting as a whole.

"Junk food became a huge turn off for me. Especially from a health standpoint. It’s so easy now to avoid it even if it’s readily available."
But to lose all this weight, stopping the junk food was merely the first, if hardest, step. Burning more calories than you are eating is the simplest way to shed the pounds.
They added: "If you’re not in a calorie deficit, you aren’t going to lose weight. Understanding how a deficit works in a healthy manner is crucial for weight loss."
