Person who lost over 130lbs ‘naturally’ reveals the one rule that became a ‘game-changer’

Running a calorie deficit can be a difficult way to lose weight if you are not making one simple but major change in your life

If you're someone who struggles to keep their weight in check, but who also does not want to start taking the ever-popular fat jabs like Mounjaro and Wegovy, getting skinny the 'natural' way can feel impossible.

But your problems might not stem from bad genes or some catastrophic lack of self control - you could be setting yourself up for failure by not making the radical changes necessary to start shedding the pounds.

One person who dropped an amazing 130lbs without the use of weight loss medications has shared how running a proper calorie deficit and a small amount of weight training helped them to lose over nine stone of body mass.

While it's a lot easier said than done to make the drastic changes to your diet necessary to lose weight 'naturally', if you follow one 'game-changer' rule it might suddenly become a whole lot easier to keep your hand out the cookie jar.

Explaining their weight loss experience to people on Reddit, the calorie-cutter detailed how they turned their junk food cravings into feelings of disgust that pushed him towards the healthier options.

"I began my journey when I was 27. I used to weigh roughly 400lbs and decided that I was sick of being unhealthy and hated how I looked. It was tiring," they explained. "Fast forward a few years later and now I’m a Certified Weight management specialist and help people lose weight naturally."

When they were asked about the 'single hardest habit' to break in their staggering weight-loss journey, the diet specialist said breaking the cycle of 'emotional and mindless eating' that came from living with a bakery worker who brought freebies home.

"This caused me to have an emotional relationship with food. Over time I was able to break that with strict discipline and self control," they shared, before adding their simple game-changing rule.

Simply, don't buy it and don't keep it in the house.

They said: "It was definitely a huge game-changer. Over time I fell in love with healthy food in general as well as dieting & weight lifting as a whole.

"Junk food became a huge turn off for me. Especially from a health standpoint. It’s so easy now to avoid it even if it’s readily available."

But to lose all this weight, stopping the junk food was merely the first, if hardest, step. Burning more calories than you are eating is the simplest way to shed the pounds.

They added: "If you’re not in a calorie deficit, you aren’t going to lose weight. Understanding how a deficit works in a healthy manner is crucial for weight loss."
