He's known for controversial choices, be it lengthy Twitter outbursts or atypical children's names, and it turns out that Elon Musk also has some unusual appetites for food.
Speaking in an interview on the Katie Miller podcast, the Tesla CEO revealed that he follows a carnivore-style diet, consisting mostly of meat and eggs.
A far cry from most Americans' breakfast, the entrepreneur said he starts each day by tucking into steak and eggs, washing the meaty meal down with a black coffee.

By the time lunch rolls around, Musk is often still full from his protein-heavy breakfast and doesn't have room for lunch.
"I usually don't have lunch, or if I do, it's something very small."
Dinner will depend on whether he is hanging out with friends or dining alone, but Musk admitted he has a special taste for one dish in particular, and it couldn't be more American.
"And then for dinner, depending on whether it's social or not, it will vary in cuisine," he told the interview host. "I like a wide range of cuisine."
Asked what his favourite cuisine is, Musk revealed his favorite meal is a cheeseburger.
"American is my favorite," he said.
"If I had to say like there's one have for the rest of time, which would be quite monotonous, but it would probably be a cheeseburger.
"Because cheeseburgers are amazing. It's genius, it's a genius invention," he gushed.
The carnivore diet is a controversial meal plan that has its proponents eating meat, poultry, eggs, seafood, fish, some dairy products, and water. Fruits, vegetables, and carbohydrates are all excluded, meaning people largely live off protein.

This makes it a type of 'keto' diet; a plan that works to starve the body of glucose and other kinds of sugar. To compensate for the lack of sugar, the body burns fat and produces ketones as an energy source.
These are then released into the bloodstream, lowering the normal acid-base balance and creating the state known as ketosis.
It's not the first time Musk has admitted to enjoying more luxurious foods. Speaking on the Joe Rogan podcast, he admitted he enjoys rich meals but knows they can slow him down.
He told the podcast that he tries to keep things light, eating a small amount in the day to avoid weighing him down during a busy day of meetings.
Discussing his favourite foods with the podcast host, Musk also shared that he has recently become a fan of Hawaiian pizza, another contentious meal choice.
