An angry wedding guest has gone on to expose a bride and groom for their ‘tiered’ wedding, which saw wealthy guests enjoy a luxury treatment.

It seems like class can’t be bought these days, after attendees were shocked to find that their wallets counted big-time when it came to attending a particularly fancy wedding.

According to a whistle-blower, there was an obvious disparity between the poor and the rich when it came to one big celebration.

The person wrote: “Wealthier guests were served better alcohol and food than the rest.”

They explained how the unnamed bride and groom not only served their wealthy guests better food, but also better-quality alcohol at their wedding, and left their less well-off guests with scraps.

The outraged guest shared that the groom comes from ‘an extremely wealthy family,’ who went out of their way to provide a ‘no-expense-spared’ celebration for the couple.

The person went on to say that his family footed the bill for the day, however, they were unable to get a word in when it came to planning the wedding or dictating any details of the day.

Basically, they were the cash behind it all, without any power with how it was used.

The person shared that after the couple had their 150 guests sit through a ‘blazing’ hot outdoor ceremony as well as a cocktail hour, they then hosted a seven-course dinner.

The Reddit user said: “It was buffet style at the tables, so when we got the ‘main [entree]’ it was steak.

“It was four slices of steak for eight people.”

They continued their rant, sharing that ‘two wine bottles were left at each table, and there was no bar during dinner’ for attendees to enjoy.

But the worst part was watching the rich enjoying their high-quality food and booze while the paupers were left with a meagre spread.

The person wrote: “We slowly started to realize that the ‘very wealthy’ guests at the wedding had been [given] a lot more, [like] high-end wine bottles, scotch [and] tequila.

“And a plethora [of] more food.”

The Reddit user ended the post by sharing that the night ended on a low.

They wrote: “At the end of the night there was no dessert, just a table of Oreo boxes and cut-up apple slices.”

But it wasn’t just the poor who noticed how classist the wedded couple were being, as even the ‘groom’s mother left in tears because of how ashamed she was of how the majority of the guests [were] treated’.

This didn’t go down well with readers, who called the couple ‘cheap’.

One person commented: “‘Tiered’ guests is a new, tacky thing.”

Someone else said: “It’s unfathomable to me but not entirely surprising that people behave like this,” another scolded.

Another wrote: “What an embarrassment.”

A user speculated the reason for their conduct: “Now you know how wealthy people stay wealthy — [by being] super cheap.

“If you go cheap you look bad to your own family and the new in laws.”
