Elon Musk has become the latest person to troll Andrew Tate with a post on Twitter, with a joke about the now infamous pizza box.

As you’re probably aware, Tate was arrested alongside his brother Tristan in Romania on December 29.

The Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) - which was in charge of the arrest operation - said it is investigating alleged human trafficking, rape and the formation of an organised criminal group. It has since been announced Tate will be held for 30 days.

His arrest came after a public spat with climate change activist Greta Thunberg.

Tate tried to provoke the 19-year-old climate activist while bragging about his fleet of high end cars that all release 'enormous emissions’.

He tweeted: “Hello @GretaThunberg I have 33 cars. My Bugatti has a w16 8.0L quad turbo. My TWO Ferrari 812 competizione have 6.5L v12s.

Greta Thunberg's roasting of Andrew Tate has made Twitter history.

"This is just the start. Please provide your email address so I can send a complete list of my car collection and their respective enormous emissions."

Thunberg's replied: "Yes, please do enlighten me. Email me at smalld**[email protected]."

In response, Tate shared a two-minute video on Twitter, during which he asked someone off camera to pass him some pizza, which they did - plonking a box from Jerry’s Pizza in front of him.

This led to an online rumour that it was this pizza box that had tipped authorities off that he was in Romania, leading to numerous people trolling Tate over the pizza box.

And now, Twitter boss Musk has become the latest in a long line to troll the controversial former kickboxer.

In a post he wrote: “Sometimes it’s just better to make pizza at home.”

Thunberg also couldn’t resist making a joke, shortly after his arrest she tweeted: “This is what happens when you don’t recycle pizza boxes.”

Tate and his brother were arrested at his home in Pipera, at the northern edge of Bucharest.

In a statement at the time, (DIICOT) said: "The prosecutors of the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism - Central Structure together with police officers from the Bucharest Organized Crime Brigade implemented 5 home search warrants in a case in which investigations under the aspect of committing the crimes of constituting an organized criminal group, human trafficking and rape."

The Tates' lawyer, Eugen Vidineac, told the BBC they would appeal against the detention and had maintained their right to silence.
