This is what authorities have seized in their hunt for former Olympic snowboarder Ryan Wedding after carrying out a series of raids in Mexico.

Wedding, who once competed for Canada at the prestigious games, was added to the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list in March 2025.

The 44-year-old is wanted for allegedly 'running a transnational drug trafficking network that routinely shipped hundreds of kilograms of cocaine from Colombia, through Mexico and Southern California, to Canada and other locations in the United States'.

The disgraced athlete is also said to have orchestrated multiple murders, including the killing of a government witness in January. The FBI has since put out a $15,000,000 reward for Wedding’s capture.

“Wedding went from shredding powder on the slopes at the Olympics to distributing powder cocaine on the streets of US cities and in his native Canada,” said Akil Davis, the Assistant Director of the FBI’s Los Angeles Field Office.

Wedding is thought to be in Mexico, with the FBI having conducted a series of raids on four properties in recent weeks. From that, they have seized a dozen of expensive items thought to be owned by the former Olympian.

What have authorities seized?

According to local authorities, the FBI have seized the following items:

  • 62 high-end motorcycles
  • Two vehicles
  • Methamphetamine
  • Marijuana
  • Artwork
  • Ammunition
  • Two Olympic medals

While Wedding may not have been located as of yet, Ken Gray, a former FBI agent and senior lecturer at the University of New Haven, has suggested the FBI's latest findings are a 'significant step' in locating the former Olympian.

"Despite the fact that they didn’t capture Ryan Wedding in these raids, this is a significant step in that it shows that Mexican authorities are taking this seriously now and that they are making efforts to locate Ryan Wedding and attack his organization," he told CTV News.

FBI Director Kash Patel recently compared Wedding to two of the most infamous drug lords in recent memory.

"Make no mistake,” he said. “Ryan Wedding is a modern-day iteration of Escobar and Guzmán. He is responsible for engineering a narco-trafficking and narco-terrorism program that we have not seen in a long time.”

People who believe they may have information on Wedding and his whereabouts are urged to contact the FBI via WhatsApp, Signal or Telegram (neither government-operated nor government-controlled platforms) at (424) 495-0614.
