The father of a teenager who was stabbed while at a track meet has spoken out after being escorted from a press conference held by his sonâs alleged killerâs family.
Austin Metcalf, 17, was stabbed in the heart when he was with his younger brother, Hunter, at the track and field championship at Kuykendall Stadium in Frisco on April 2.
According to reports, Metcalf and 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony became engaged in an argument over seats in the stands before he was murdered.
Local police confirmed, speaking to NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth, that officers were called to the scene at approximately 10am, stating: "Despite lifesaving measures by police and fire personnel, including CPR and the administration of blood, the (17)-year-old victim died."

Metcalfâs father, Jeff has since been vocal about his grief, and what is said to have happened that morning.

According to NBC News, Frisco police arrested and charged Anthony, releasing him from jail and allowing him to be held on house arrest.
But just on Thursday April 17, Metcalf admitted to showing up at a press conference which was held by the Anthonyâs, who suggested they plan to fight their sonâs first-degree murder charge, stating that lies have been told about him.

At the conference, Anthonyâs mother Kala Hayes spoke about âlies and false accusations that have been said about us, especially over the past weekâ as she claimed they âput my family in danger.â
Anthonyâs parents previously claimed he acted in self-defence when Metcalf allegedly attacked him.
However, when Jeff turned up, he said that he was âdisrespectedâ when he was escorted from the conference by Dallas cops.
To him, things should have gone down differently as he shared that he wanted to pray with the family and put up a united front.
âThey should have pulled me up [to the front] and said, âWe are so sorry. Our condolences.â The only thing I would have said was, âOkay, can we pray together and show the world weâre united',â he told The Post.
After he showed up at the event, he and his ex-wife claimed that they became victims of âswattingâ pranks, resulting in police turning up to their homes.
As a result, he claimed to have resigned from his real estate job to protect his colleagueâs and clientsâ safety.
The father said heâd hoped for an apology from the Anthony's, but that did not happen.
Instead, he was told to leave by many people.

âI get a text. My phoneâs blowing up. Itâs the f***ing DA. He said, âJeff, leave! Leave! Leave!'â Metcalf shared to the publication. âMy ex-wife texts me: âLeave, leave, leave!â Theyâll call the cops if I donât get the f*** out of there.â
After his visit to the conference, Minister Dominique Alexander, an activist of Next Generation Action Network called his visit âa disrespect to the dignity of his sonâ.
To this, the father said: âAfter I leave, that Dominique ⌠just gaslights to s*** out of me. Says Iâm disrespecting, Iâm so disrespectful, Iâm disrespecting the dignity of my son by showing up ⌠and Iâm just like whatever, dude. My characterâs been assassinated. Or theyâve tried to assassinate my character.
âThis is my point: Weâre both victims. My sonâs dead. Their son will be in prison. But itâs the end of the day, [Karmelo] needs to be accountable for his actions.â
Alexander, who is representing Anthony and has been appointed as the familyâs spokesperson, allegedly has a lengthy criminal history that includes being convicted on child abuse charges as well as allegations of domestic violence, according to Fox 4 Dallas.
