An 18-year-old teen has been charged after he murdered his family, telling a witness he feared they would end up eating him.

Cesar Olalde was surrounded by police inside a home in the small Texas town of Nash, as they responded to calls the teen had harmed his family and was also threatening to kill himself.

On Tuesday (23 May), officials were also told of reports of multiple victims inside, which unfortunately ended up being true.

Olade admitted to his crimes on the phone to the police, where he said 'he had pulled the trigger and shot his family', according to a probable cause affidavit.

Upon reaching the family home at 563 Lemon Acres, officers persuaded the teen to surrender, when they then found the bodies of Olade's parents, Reuben Olalde and Aida Garcia, older sister Lisbet Olalde and younger brother Oliver Olalde, who was just 10 years old, in the bathroom.

Investigators added that it looked like the victims were shot in other parts of the home but were dragged into the bathroom.

The affidavit added there were 'multiple spent cartridge casings' found on the floor of the home and 'blood spatter on multiple surfaces'.

A co-worker of Lisbet Olalde, Joesph Flieder, visited the home after Lisbet failed to turn up to work, and with the help of a family member, broke into her the home.

But they were greeted by Olade, with Flieder saying the youngster pointed a gun at him.

The affidavit continued: "Flieder had his wife exit the residence and he continued to speak with Cesar.

"Flieder informed me that Cesar made statements that he had killed his family because they were cannibals, and they were going to eat him."

Officials surrounded the teen's family home.

A GoFundMe page has been setup in recent days by Diana Olalde, who says she's the defendant's older sister.

In a bid to raise money for funeral costs, Diana has collected more than $60,000 so far.

In the campaign description, she wrote: "Hi, I am Diana and I am fundraising for my family’s funeral services.

"On 5/23/2023 my world changed. My whole family, my father who was a hard working man, my mother who was a caring and loving person, my sister who was full of life, happiness, and dreams, and my little brother who was an amazing, funny, and cheerful kid passed in a tragic turn events that even in my worst nightmare I couldn’t have dreamed.

"If these people ever touched your life in anyway please help and donate. Prayers would be much appreciated as well."
