The Game explains why he went for Eminem with diss track The Black Slim Shady

The Game recently released a 10 minute diss track for Eminem titled 'The Black Slim Shady', now he's revealed why.

The Game has explained why he took aim at Eminem with a 10 minute diss track titled 'The Black Slim Shady'.

If you're going to write a 10 minute long diss track about somebody, it'd be reasonable to assume that you have some sort of problem with them.

When The Game dropped his new album Drillmatic: Heart vs Mind last month and people saw it contained a song called 'The Black Slim Shady', it was only natural to wonder what was going on between the two rappers.

It's the longest song on the album by some distance and with lyrics like 'I don't really like any of his new stuff', you'd think they'd had some sort of a falling out.

With the song saying Eminem 'used to be like this rap God', to many it sounds like The Game has been calling out the legendary rapper.

Some fans aren't sure what to think of the song, with a few thinking it's secretly a tribute to Eminem rather than a diss track, but nobody really knows except for the man himself.

Speaking on the Rap Radar podcast, The Game explained that there was nothing personal behind the diss track and spoke about how he was a big fan of Eminem's work.

As for his reason for targeting Eminem with his diss track, he said it was 'just because nobody does'.

He said: "As far as it being personal, it's not personal. I came up on Em too. Like, I remember the first time 'Hi, my name is' came out I was like woah-ed by it.

"I felt the same feeling when I heard that, that I felt when I heard 'Juicy' from B.I.G. the first time."

The rapper went on to explain that his falling out with 50 Cent was also part of the reason behind releasing 'The Black Slim Shady', saying the 'fallout' between himself and 50 Cent made Eminem 'choose a side and he wasn't doing the s**t that I did'.

The Game explained that he felt like Eminem was the only rapper out there he could really call out and diss.

He said: "I just felt like I had some emotions, a little bit, about Super Bowl s**t and all of that. And that's Dre’s boy, and Dre don’t rap.

"So it’s like, if I wanna have a conversation with Dre or I’m mad at Dre, let me poke shots at Eminem. The only person I could rap with, or try to poke the bear and see if he really want to go there, is Em."

If there's any beef between them because of the song there's no indication that it'll last forever, Eminem used to have a bit of a feud with Snoop Dogg and now they've released a track together.

The Game had been called out for 'The Black Slim Shady' by battle rapper Pat Stay, who sadly died earlier this month in a fatal stabbing.
