It’s safe to say that US rappers Russ and Smokepurpp aren’t exactly the best of friends.
After years of back and forth between the two rappers, old footage of them fighting has gone viral once again, threatening to overshadow Russ’ much-anticipated 2025 Into The Wild tour.
So, if you’re wondering what exactly happened to cause the feud between them, or you want to see Russ live this summer, here’s everything you need to know.
Everything started kicking off back in 2017 and 2018 when rappers Smokepurrp, Lil Pump and Comethazine took offense to Russ’ stance on drugs; it came after the now 32-year-old wore an anti-drug shirt and criticized hip-hop for glorifying drug abuse in music in a series of tweets, back when X was still called Twitter.

Things then escalated when a video surfaced appearing to show a physical altercation between the two rappers, in footage which has once again resurfaced this week.
Things then seemed to calm down, that was until Russ reignited things by commenting on the alleged feud when sitting down with podcaster Joe Budden in 2022, saying: “There are people like the Lil Pumps, the Smokepurpps and just the people who are using the fact that hip-hop is the coolest thing to be doing right now. They're using that as a marketing tool to be buffoons.”
As to where they stand right now, that’s unknown, but with Russ heading off on a 16 date US tour, it doesn’t seem to be having an impact on demand for his upcoming shows, with fans continuing to support the New Jersey native.

After general sale sold out, resale tickets are now available to purchase on the following sites: StubHub, Viagogo, and SeatGeek.
If you’re wondering what the prices are like, you’re looking at around $41 for the Atlanta show on Saturday, July 26 or $54 for Las Vegas on Saturday, August 2. But, as you might expect, the prices can fluctuate depending on demand and when you go to buy.

Just remember to be careful when purchasing any resale tickets online, as the last thing you want is to be turned away for not having a legitimate ticket.
No matter where you live, Russ is sure to be playing in a city near you, with lots of dates throughout July and August.
Starting in Morrison at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre on July 8, he’ll also be heading to New York, Florida, Texas and more before wrapping things up on August 8 at Auburn’s White River Amphitheatre.
