Fans have slammed Lizzo for sharing a twerking video to her Instagram page amid the singer's ongoing sexual harassment lawsuit.

Last month, a lawsuit was filed against the 'About Damn Time' singer, where she was accused of allegedly pressuring a dancer to touch a nude performer at a strip club.

Three former dancers have also alleged that Lizzo, an advocate for body-positivity, criticized a performer's weight gain and then later allegedly fired the employee for recording a meeting.

Alleged claims in the lawsuit brought against Lizzo, whose name is Melissa Viviane Jefferson, include sexual harassment, creation of a hostile work environment, false imprisonment, and interference with prospective economic advantage.

In a statement released since, Lizzo has denied the allegations, claiming the lawsuit comes from 'sensationalized stories [that] are coming from former employees who have already publicly admitted that they were told their behaviour on tour was inappropriate and unprofessional'.

Lizzo's team are also planning to countersue the three dancers, something their lawyer has labelled as an 'insidious attempt at intimidation'.

Lizzo's attorney, Marty Singer, told People: "Lizzo intends to sue for malicious prosecution after she prevails and these specious claims are dismissed."

On the dancer's side, attorney Rob Zambrano told Page Six: "Lizzo’s threat to countersue for malicious prosecution is an insidious attempt at intimidation and delivers a chilling effect to all harassment victims in the workplace.

"The scare tactics, bullying and victim shaming coming from Lizzo’s team is exactly the behavior employees face in the entertainment industry who feel they have no choice but to ‘suck it up’ for access and success."

Amid all the controversy, Lizzo is still pretty active on social media, though her latest Instagram post has not exactly gone down well with fans.

The singer was criticised by fans.

In a clip shared to the social media platform on Sunday (10 September), the singer filmed herself twerking in a blue floral bikini, with Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s new track 'Bongos' playing over the top.

“My back sound like a bongoooooooo,” Lizzo wrote in the caption.

A lot fans were not impressed with the post, however.

"Exactly why I’m unfollowing her now as we speak. So unnecessary," one fan penned in the comments.

A second added: "Really wish you would address what’s going on with some seriousness. We all looked up to you and need you to show us that your words are true."

"Still waiting on that apology." someone else said, while another commented: "You've gone too far Lizzo."

Meanwhile, a fourth on the other side of the argument remarked: "People commenting negatively are so weird. If you don't like her why do you follow?"

UNILAD has contacted Lizzo's reps for comment.
