Cardi B's comments during a recent livestream have caused uproar in the plus-size community, with fans calling it 'unacceptable'.
The premise of the singer's video was simple - eat her Chick-fil-A and talk about the clothing that she's selling to promote her upcoming album, Am I the Drama, but things escalated quickly as she appeared to call out her own fans.
"What I wanted to tell y'all is that we really underestimated the box sets, so the box sets are completely sold out - especially because you fat f**ks - clearly you guys are fat as f**k, no Chick-fil-A for y'all - the 3XL sold out like in 20 minutes," the 32-year-old said during an Instagram Live.

Cardi B - real name Belcalis Marlenis Cephus - continued: "Now I know my fans is fat I can't even make fun of fat people no more. Don't call me fatphobic y'all 'cause everyone made fun of my BBL [Brazilian butt lift] so don't.
"I can body-shame people 'cause ya'll body-shame me. If y'all body-shame me, I can body-shame y'all.
"This is a body-shaming space. You can talk about my body and I'll talk about yours, so if I call you fat it's not a big deal."
Clearly, her comments didn't go down well with people online.

"Damn. I really liked cardi b. As a 3x wearer this is extremely disappointing and upsetting. Cardi, comments like these are what normalize and embolden strangers to harass me online because of how I look. Unacceptable and hateful. Gross," wrote one disgruntled Redditor.
A second typed: "Seeing how she talks about her fans with bodies like mine is disheartening tbh."

Another individual added: "I got 50 seconds into the clip and stopped it. If you think of me, as your fan, as a fat f**k, you aren’t getting my hard earned money.

"I liked a couple of her songs, aside from that she’s not my fav or anything but even if it was my favorite artist and I heard them talk that way, I’d wouldn’t spend a further dime on them."
Cardi B has since responded to the criticism, taking to her TikTok to insist that she won't apologize for her comments.
"It was an innocent joke between me and my fans… it’s not that serious," she said.
"Especially when it comes to me, I make fun of everybody. I don’t give a f**k if you're fat, skinny, BBL down, got big feet, got small feet, whatever. As long as you don’t stink, I don’t give a damn."

The singer went on to say: "I’m not going to apologize because y’all are sensitive and wanna cry about some dumb s**t. Every day y’all wanna cry about some f**king dumb s**t."
