Doja Cat Quits Music Following Fan Controversy: “This S*** Ain’t For Me So I’m Out”

Paraguayan fans called out the star for supposedly not making an effort with them.

Doja Cat has announced that she’s quitting her career in music following a fan controversy.

The musician took to Twitter on 25th March to write: “This s*** ain’t for me so I’m out” after Paraguayan fans called out the star on the platform for supposedly not making an effort with them.

The 26-year-old singer composed a series of tweets on the social media platform in response to fans who claimed she did not share ‘a single photo being in Paraguay, not a single tweet, not a single Instagram story’.

To this accusation, the Kiss Me More hitmaker, who is currently on tour in South America, tweeted: “i’m not taking pictures again with anybody else after this tour [sic]”, as well as mentioning her desire to move away from the music industry.

Doja Cat, born Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, previously acknowledged, however, that she failed to give “Brazil a good enough show” on Thursday.

“I’m sorry for that but thank you guys for coming out,” she tweeted. “I f***ing love you and thank god we got another show tomorrow I promise I’ll do better.”

Later on, the star responded to tweets from fans which have since been deleted, and even went as far to call Doja Cat the “public enemy number one”.

To this, Dlamini told followers: “I’m not sorry.”

Journalist Roberto Rojas replied to Doja Cat’s tweets, penning: “Doja, you’re not going to win this fight against the Paraguayans.”

The singer responded to the writer: “I moved on I’m just gonna let everybody be mad.”

However, after replying to more tweets from like-minded fans, Doja Cat changed her name on Twitter to: “I quit.”

She further replied to another Twitter user: “It’s gone and I don’t give a f*** anymore. I f***ing quit I can’t wait to f***ing disappear and I don’t need you to believe in me anymore.”

“Everything is dead to me, music is dead, and I’m a f***ing fool for ever thinking I was made for this this is a f***ing nightmare. Unfollow me.”
