Burna Boy has been called out after he kicked a fan during a concert.

The rapper was performing at a huge gig at Eko Energy City in Lagos, Nigeria, when he was involved in an altercation with a spectator.

Watch what happened here:

In a video that's been shared on social media, Burna Boy, real name Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, can be seen dancing on stage as thousands watch on below.

However, it appears that one of his adoring fans gets a little over excited and tries to reach out toward the stage.

Clearly not happy with the situation, the singer quickly boots the fan, pushing them back into the crowd.

Since the footage was shared, it has seen the 31-year-old come in for a lot of criticism, with many outraged by how he dealt with the fan.

Slamming Ogulu, one user said: "Burna boy will sing about social change.

"Put a facade outlook of an advocate in Europe and around the world. But only for him to come home where he claimed he’s an ‘African giant’ to come and abuse and kick fans."

Another commented: "Nothing else has shocked me more (and they’re all pretty shocking) from the Burna Boy debacle yesterday like seeing that he kicked someone in the head."

"Wait, did Burna Boy just kick a fan from the stage, or my eyes are paining me?" asked a third. "Imagine paying money on new year’s day to wait for 7hrs & still collect kick on top!."

While someone else put: "Imagine getting kicked by your fav like this after waiting for hours."

Fans were angry after waiting hours for the concert to start.

Moments before the incident, a female fan was seen dancing with the rapper after apparently making her way onto the stage.

Elsewhere at the gig, people in the crowd were heard booing the singer over his late arrival.

While his concert was set to start at around 9pm, thousands were left waiting until the early hours of the morning until things got going.

And they were quick to make their voices heard on the matter.

At one point, some in the crowd could be heard shouting, 'F**k you' and booing.

UNILAD has contacted Burna Boy's representatives for a comment.
