The new game is set in 2035, a decade after Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

It tells the story of Commander David Mason and his team of agents, working under the codename 'Specter One'.

They have been tasked with looking into the mysterious return of a deceased terrorist, Raul Menendez, who has threatened to 'burn the world down'.
