Call Of Duty players are paying people to complete the new DMZ challenge.

The game's new DMZ mode - part of Call Of Duty: Warzone 2.0 - sees players having to complete a specific challenge to get their hands on a M13B Assault Rifle.

But some players are so put off by the new challenge that they're actually paying others to complete it for them by purchasing unlocks on eBay.

Players who obtain the weapon as part of a group challenge are able to transfer it to other players, which means some players are paying other users for the weapon themselves.

So how does it work? Well, to transfer it to another player, the person selling the weapon must group with them for the challenge, complete it, and then leave it behind for the buyer to collect.

A quick search on eBay shows the M13B selling for less than £3, but others are selling it for £15 and some as much as £25.

One listing explains: "Modern Warfare 2 M13b WEAPON UNLOCK - DMZ extremely hard Warzone challenge.

    The listings appear on eBay.

"... This will unlock the base M13B for you on all gamemodes. To unlock, player 1 (who has the M13B) drops it to player 2 (you) inside of the DMZ gmemode. Once both players extract, it will be unlocked for all gamemodes on MW2 (Multiplayer, WZ, DMZ etc).

"... Really hard challenge to get this weapon. Message me your Activision ID after buying!"

Another claims to be so popular, they've had to implement a queueing system.

"Due to the high demand I've had to implement a queue system. Upon payment I'll let you know your place in the queue," the listing explains.

Warzone 2.0 comes following the original free-to-play battle royale game released in March 2020, and over the past two years creators say they have 'taken a wide range of community feedback to heart'.

Warzone 2.0 not only gives fans access to a new version of the game, but also 'new technology, new features, and new gameplay that work seamlessly together'.

"In order to fully deliver this state-of-the-art experience, Warzone 2.0 will feature new Modern Warfare II content and systems with brand-new progression and inventories. Today’s Warzone will continue as a separate experience that will include a continuation of player progression and inventories within that Warzone experience," the game explained prior to launch.
