Ladies and gents, we are proud to present to you the magic of Hollywood.

Fans on social media have been left stunned after Netflix gave viewers a sneak peek behind the scenes at its latest smash-hit show, Wednesday.

And, to be honest, it has blown our little minds.

The snaps showed exactly how Netflix created the zany Addams Family character Thing.

Oh, and if you haven't seen Wednesday yet, stop reading and hop to it.

If you aren't familiar with The Addams Family, then you're beyond help.

RIP and we feel sorry for you.

It turns out the very realistic hand that makes up Thing is really just a regular, old human hand.

And, yes, it is still attached to the actor's body.

So how does one remove unwanted appendages while filming? A green screen, of course.

Except this one turned out to be a totally blue morph suit that covers actor Victor Dorobantu's whole body except for his mighty mitts.

It must have been hard keeping a straight face on set so props to Jenna Ortega, who played the lead role of Wednesday Addams.

Anyway, back to the business at hand (sorry not sorry).

Stunned social media shared their feelings about the pictures online, with many revealing they had been wondering how director Tim Burton brought Thing to life.

One user said: "It’s been bugging me how they made it and this made me very happy."

A second added: "That’s his real hand? On that ground? Oh my Lord."

A third heaped on the praise: "Oh my God, I had no idea that someone actually played The Thing. Wow, this is interesting. Standing ovation."

Billed as a 'twisted new series from the mind of Tim Burton', Wednesday follows the youngster as she attends Nevermore Academy and tries to balance her studies with all manner of mysterious goings on.

The official synopsis from Netflix says: "The series is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy.

"Wednesday's attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorised the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago - all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore."

Alongside Ortega stars Catherine Zeta-Jones as chic matriarch Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, and Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester.

Wednesday is now streaming on Netflix.
