Netflix viewers raving as 1995 Sandra Bullock film is finally added to platform

If you need some prime weekend watches then look no further, because this Sandra Bullock flick is everything we love about 90s films

If you need some prime weekend watches then look no further, because this Sandra Bullock flick that has just been added to Netflix is everything we love about 90s films.

Ah, the 90s, a decade of tamagotchis, low rise jeans, and high concept action movies. And the queen of 90s movies herself, Sandy B stars in this little forgotten gem which is now available to stream on Netflix.

For those not familiar with this classic that is currently seven on Netflix UK's top 10, let us clue you in.

The Net, directed by Irwin Winkler (excellent name), focuses on a computer programmer named Angela Bennett (Sandra Bullock), who starts a new freelance gig and, strangely, all her colleagues start dying.

Does it have something to do with the mysterious disc she was given? Well, her suspicions are raised when, during a trip to Mexico, she's seduced by a handsome stranger (Jeremy Northam) intent on locating the same disc.

"Soon Angela is tangled up in a far-reaching conspiracy that leads to her identity being erased," the official synopsis reads.

"Can she stop the same thing from happening to her life?"

The 90s' flick starring Sandra Bullock can now be streamed on Netflix.

Sounds amazing right? And if that wasn't enough to convince you — check out how people are reacting on Twitter.

One user said it's the reason so many people chose to work in tech roles and we can see that: "The Net with Sandra Bullock in today’s top 10 of Netflix movies because it’s the secret reason so many of us ended up working in digital, prove me wrong."

A second said that the film gave them an 'incredible high' and we see exactly what they mean: "Highlight of the year. The Net is on Netflix. Incredible high right now."

Others thought that the film was major throwback vibes: "I am watching The Net on Netflix. Look I think it's an ok movie and I just saw a floppy disc, a walkman and a "cell" phone with an antenna. What a trip."

One couldn't understand why people would still be on Twitter knowing that such an incredible film existed: "I’m not saying Sandra Bullock’s The Net (1995) is on Netflix but, given that it /is/, what are you doing, still browsing Twitter?"

The film, quite literally, screams 90s.

While another already had their evening plans firmly set in place: "Netflix is telling me that ‘The Net’ (yes that one) is currently #5 in films today.

"This pleases me. I should bask in the height of tech fantasy by ordering a pizza online and joining the masses."
