Terrifier 3 will be more 'extreme' after previous film caused people to vomit in cinemas

Terrifier 2 caused people to throw up, and Terrifier 3 is going to see Art the Clown take things up a notch

It’s official – Terrifier 3 is happening, and if you were one of the people vomiting in their seats during the last film, you’d better get a sick bag, as things are going to get even more extreme.

Here's the trailer for that last film, if you dare:

The news was brought this afternoon by French-based distribution company The Coven, who confirmed that the threequel will have a bigger budget, and therefore will be able to really pile on the agony.

Terrifier 2 was a bit of an unexpected box office success, and writer Damien Leone and producer Phil Falcone are back on board for this next effort.

We aren’t going to find out much about the plot just yet, but it will involve naturally involve the return of serial killer Art the Clown, with David Howard Thornton expected to return.

Lauren LaVera will also be back as Sienna, it has been reported.

Deadline states that ‘filming is expected to get underway in November or December of this year for release in late 2024’.

Well, that gives us a bit of time to prepare, at least.

The previous film was gross, but this is going to be something else.

Speaking about the next chapter in this shocking saga, Leone said: “Terrifier 3 will be another boundary-pushing addition to the horror genre, continuing the no holds barred, uncompromising exploits fans of the franchise have come to expect and celebrate.”

He also added: “If you thought Art the Clown’s reign of terror in Part 2 was extreme, you haven’t seen anything yet.”

Excellent, that’s just the news that we needed.

Priscilla Ross Smith, the founder of The Coven, confirmed the bigger moneybag for the next picture, stating: “There will be a much bigger budget this time around, which is intended to give the filmmakers more creative freedom, and let them be as wild as they can be.

“And, all jokes aside, we are going for that Oscar this year.”

‘As wild as they can be’ – what exactly does that mean?

The franchise has become infamous for gore and special effects wizardry, shooting into the public consciousness after some people passed out and vomited right in their seats watching the last one.

Still, it raked in more than $15 million at the box office.

Even Stephen King was impressed, tweeting: “Grossin’ you out old-school.”

One terrified viewer said: “Watching #Terrifier2 my friend just threw up and then passed out. I’ve counted five walk outs so far. I’m loving it.”

They're going to go bigger this time.

Another commented: “I just saw it here in Chicago. 2 walk outs. Lots of screaming… someone almost threw up during the BEDROOM scene.

“Other then that we all loved it.”’

Yeah, other than the near-triggering of involuntary bodily functions, it’s a fantastic watch.

There’s more to come, too.
