As Wes Anderson's newest movie hits theaters, UNILAD RANKED decided to pit some of the director's most popular flicks against each other to battle it out for the top spot.
The Phoenician Scheme is Anderson's latest project and, like all his films, he's recruited some of Hollywood's best actors to star.
Most of the cast have worked with the director on previous films, including Bill Murray (The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou), and Benedict Cumberbatch (The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar), as well as Tom Hanks and Scarlett Johansson, both of whom starred in 2023's Asteroid City.

Making its way into the top five is 2018 movie Isle of Dogs which, to this day, still boasts an impressive 90 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Set in a dystopian Japan in which all pets have been exiled to a garbage dump called Trash Island, the stop-motion animation flick follows 12-year-old Atari as he sets off alone in a miniature Junior-Turbo Prop in search of his dog, Spots.
Like all of Anderson's movies, Isle of Dogs boasts a very famous cast with the likes of Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), and Edward Norton (Fight Club) voicing the film's beloved characters.
While several years old, people continue to rave about Isle of Dogs. One person recently penned on Twitter: "Currently watching the Isle of Dogs and this Wes Anderson guy sure knows how to make movies."

Released in 2001, The Royal Tenenbaums remains a favorite for Anderson's fans. The movie featured the late, great Gene Hackman who died alongside his wife in their Santa Fe home in February.
Bill Murray (Ghostbusters), Gwyneth Paltrow (Iron Man), Owen Wilson (Wedding Crashers), Ben Stiller (Zoolander), and Danny Glover (Lethal Weapon) also star.
Per IMDb, the quirky comedy is about 'eccentric members of a dysfunctional family' who 'reluctantly gather under the same roof for various reasons'.
Over two decades later and The Royal Tenebaums has an 89 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes' Popcornmeter. One reviewer on the site said of the movie: "The Royal Tenenbaums isn't just Wes Anderson's best film, it's one of the best films of all-time."

The film follows 12-year-olds Sam (Jared Gilman) and Suzy (Kara Hayward) who fall in love and decide to run away together.
Hitting theaters in 2012, Moonrise Kingdom arguably has one of Anderson's most star-studded casts with Bruce Willis (Die Hard), Tilda Swinton (We Need to Talk About Kevin), and Frances McDormand (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) featuring.
Mia Threapleton, Kate Winslet's daughter who stars in Anderson's newest movie The Phoenician Scheme, said seeing Moonrise Kingdom made her want to work with the highly acclaimed director.
Speaking at a recent press conference, Threapleton recalled a journal entry she wrote in 2013. She penned at the time, as per Variety: "Watching Moonrise Kingdom again. Bloody love this film. Wish I could work with Wes Anderson one day."
2) Fantastic Mr. Fox

In a Disney and Pixar dominated industry, Anderson managed to edge his way into the world of animation with 2009's Fantastic Mr. Fox.
Speaking on this, one fan of the film said: "It's clear that Wes' beautiful brain goes in fresh directions when it comes to animation versus live action."
Of course, based on the infamous children's book by Roald Dahl, the movie follows the antics of family man Mr Fox, who goes back to his old ways of stealing, succumbing to his animal instincts. However, chaos ensues when three farmers decide to kill him and his kind.
George Clooney (Ocean's Eleven) voices Mr. Fox himself, while Meryl Streep (Only Murders in the Building) is Mrs Fox.
