It's a new month which means one thing: new content to stream.
Netflix is set to add a host of new and old movies to the platform, including the long-awaited Happy Gilmore sequel.
Happy Gilmore 2 will debut on the Netflix on July 25, and the follow-up film boasts quite the cast with the likes of Ben Stiller, Travis Kelce and Bad Bunny all making cameos in the highly anticipated movie.
Yes, new movies are always exciting, but there's a certain comfort to sitting down with a bowl of popcorn the size of a small child on a Friday night and watching a cult classic.

And this is something Prime Video subscribers will be able to do from today (July 1) as a popular franchise has landed on the streaming platform.
The franchise? Rocky, of course.
According to Comicbook.com, not just one Rocky film but all six have dropped on Prime Video today, those being Rocky, Rocky II, Rocky III, Rocky IV, Rocky V, and Rocky Balboa.

It probably won't be new information to you that the films are well-loved, as one person penned on Twitter: "The Rocky franchise might be the best ever."
Echoing similar sentiments, another Rocky fan raved: 'People probably think my favorite movie franchise is some comic book type sh*t, but it's actually Rocky. The way yall feel about Toy Story movies is how I feel about Rocky. I love every Rocky movie, even part 5 with Tommy Gunn."
"Rocky is an amazing franchise," added another Twitter user.
Somebody else pointed out that usually franchises peak after the first movie, but they insisted that this isn't the case with Rocky.

"The Rocky franchise is weird because the fourth movie is the one that’s the most famous," they said. "Usually quality goes into exponential decay after the first film, but not here."
But the Rocky we've all grown to love could have been very different had the film's star and writer Sylvester Stallone not made some alterations to his character.

Speaking in his 2023 Netflix documentary, Stallone recalled how a friend of his who read his script said she 'hated' Rocky, sparking him to make some changes.
"At the time, my friend, she was typing up [the story]," Stallone said. "She started crying. She goes 'I hate Rocky. I hate him. He’s cruel. He hits people, he beats them up.'"
"I said, 'What if you stop short of it? Like maybe he almost did, he could have, that’s his job, but he doesn’t'," Stallone continued. "I said, ‘What if he had a girlfriend, that’d be nice.'"
Thus a more loveable Rocky was born.
