An underrated revenge thriller on Netflix has going people talking as they say it should be your next watch.

The Mexican thriller was first released in 2021, and has since put out another two series of the show.

Based around being framed for his sister’s murder, main character Alex becomes hell-bent on plotting his revenge and finding the real culprit after spending 18 years in prison.

The murder-mystery scored 86% on Rotten Tomatoes, and viewers have said people should be adding it to their watch list on Netflix.

Who Killed Sara? is directed by David Ruiz, and follows the story of the Lazcano family, who falsely accused Alex of Sara’s murder to protect their own reputation.

As season one unfolds, there is an intense journey which leads Alex down a dark path.

The cast of season one includes Carolina Miranda, Ximena Lamadrid, Eugenio Siller, Manolo Cardona, Ana Lucía Domínguez, and Jean Reno.

The success of the first season was clearly preempted by the directors, as season two was released just two months later, suggesting that it had already been filmed.

Sara’s killer is revealed in season two, leaving viewers curious of whether they would strike again.

One thing viewers have said about the show is that plot twists do not go unnoticed.

The hit Netflix show is littered with them, and it works for some better than others.

One person on Facebook said: “It’s a really awesome series.”

Another said: "Good series with lots of twists."

Someone else agreed but added: “Good but got tired of so many plot twists.

“My daughter finished watching it though.”

A few people said otherwise, with one saying: “At first it seems like a great show but then you realize it's just a waste.

“They just contradict their own plot with so many useless twists thinking they can confuse everyone.”

And the season three finale which was released in 2022, has even more twists on offer.

Sara's empty grave which is shown at the beginning of the series led many to believe that perhaps she wasn't dead after all.

This just added to the plethora of unanswered questions that were left behind by the season previous.

The appeal of the show is that it is a mystery, as the title suggests.

And the conclusion of the puzzle isn’t revealed until the very end, gripping viewers for three seasons.

One viewer has branded it as the ‘best show’ they have ever watched, so it goes without saying that it has been a success with millions.
