Netflix fans are binge watching new must-see ’10/10’ TV show ‘in one sitting’

Netflix fans are obsessed with a new medical drama which they say is 'worth the hype.'

The streaming service has added some absolute bangers to its catalogue recently, including a ‘new instant favorite’ TV series which has 97% Rotten Tomatoes score and a 'truly entertaining' 90s US sitcom featuring Pamela Anderson.

But if the drama of a bustling hospital is more your scene, then you're in for a treat with Netflix's latest South Korean drama.

Currently charting at number three on the streamer's world TV charts, fans have hailed it a '10/10'.

The eight-parter stars Ju Ji-hoon as highly-skilled surgeon Baek Kang-hyuk, who's sent to shake-up a struggling trauma unit.

Having cut his teeth in conflict zones, Baek's unorthodox methods - and borderline arrogance - initially irk the team at Hankuk University Hospital in Seoul.

But, with people's lives at stake, Baek gradually earns their respect as the team pulls together to transform the trauma unit.

Choo Young Woo, Ha Young, Jung Jae-kwang, Kim Jae-won and Kim Sun-young also feature in the TV show.

The series in question is called The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call and is based on the 2019 webtoon Trauma Center: Golden Hour.

You can watch the Netflix series trailer below.

Fans have been singing the show's praises over on social media, as one person raved: "The Trauma Code on Netflix is a proof that people would eat up all episodes— which they dropped all at the same time— and enjoy watching it like a marathon!! The plot, pace, cast and their execution of their roles are all hands down amazing... 10/10 would recommend."

A second, also posting to X, enthused: "Just finished binging Trauma Code and oh man it's a must watch... eight eps weren't enough we need more."

A third chipped in: "just finished binge watching Trauma Code on Netflix and it is so worth the hype rn pls go watch it!!"

A fourth gave their verdict: "Action sequences were not dragged out. Neat and tidy. Plus the 8 episode format helped it really keep it short and entertaining and left me asking for more."

Will there be a Trauma Code season two?

There's clearly demand for it, but Trauma Code is yet to be renewed for a second season by Netflix.

But, speaking to Korean media outlet Chosun Biz, director Lee Do-Yoon teased the potential for another instalment.

"I don't know what will happen tomorrow, so I don't know if I will do it or who will take charge of season two, but I have prepared my own devices just in case," he said.
