Millie Bobby Brown's latest Netflix release is the streaming service's top watched movie of 2024 so far.

Channeling a similar energy to her Stranger Things breakout role of Eleven, Brown's latest role has viewers flooding to social media in awe.

Having received extremely high praise for having 'better dragons' than in House of the Dragon and leaving viewers all saying the same thing about its ending, the flick has since been revealed by Netflix as being its current highest watched film of the year.

Prepare to cancel all your weekend plans:

First released onto the streaming platform on March 8, the reversed fairy tale stars Brown in the role of Elodie, a princess who doesn't hang around for her prince charming to save her - actually ending up getting targeted by her supposed rescuer instead.

The princess then has to battle her way through her own story and fight for her own happy ending, Brown previously noting she's 'never read a story' like it.

And viewers have been quick to flood to social media in agreement and to praise the Netflix release.

One X user said: "What a fantastic fairytale story that keeps entertaining you with his mind blowing dangerous adventures journey and how she will survive from that. [...] Performance of Millie Bobby is outstanding."

"A fantastic action/fantasy/horror giant monster movie about a Princesses fight for survival against a Dragon after being tricked into being a ritual sacrifice. I had a great time. Highly recommend," another added.

Despite also receiving some mixed reviews and only obtaining a Rotten Tomatoes tomatometer score of 57 percent, the film has reached great heights on Netflix.

Damsel holds the current title for Netflix's top watched movie of 2024.
Netflix

Since its release Brown's movie - Damsel - has held strong in the number one position of Netflix's Global Top 10.

Across the world, the movie achieved an average ranking of the top spot on the day after its release (9), the 10 and 11 March, according to Flix Patrol.

And at the time of writing, it remains number one on the UK's Netflix Watch List as well as being in the Top 10 in Films in 93 countries.

But just how many views has it actually amassed to become Netflix's most-viewed film of the year so far?

The film doesn't mess around, just like Brown's character.
Netflix

Well, Damsel has been watched a staggering 35,300,000 times according to Netflix's Tudum.

And it's amassed a whopping 64,800,000 hours viewed too.
