Millie Bobby Brown's Damsel is no longer Netflix's number one film.

The highly anticipated action and fantasy film dropped on the streamer on March 8, and had sat pretty as Netflix's top movie ever since.

In fact, Damsel quickly became the most watched film of the year on the streaming platform and had been viewed a whopping 35,300,000 times by March 14.

Impressive.

Bobby Brown, who stars as lead Elodie, explained that the movie is about 'a damsel who doesn’t need to be saved'.

She went on: "She saves herself in many ways. It subverts what you expect: You’re expecting the prince to turn around and save her, and… no. Don’t wait for the prince."

But Damsel's reign is now over and has been replaced by Lindsay Lohan's latest project.

Lindsay Lohan's Irish Wish is number one in both the UK and US.

Titled Irish Wish, the film sees Lohan's Maddie travel to Ireland to watch her friend get married to a man she's been pining for herself for years.

When she makes a wish that she was marrying him instead, lo and behold she wakes up and realises she's now the bride-to-be.

The movie landed on Netflix on March 15 - just in time for St. Patrick's Day.

While Irish Wish only boasts 36 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, Lohan's fans have gone wild for the film on social media.

"Seeing Lindsay Lohan flourish in these Netflix RomComs is the best I hope she never stops making them. Icon of our generation," one person raved on X.

"#IrishWish on #Netflix is sooooo refreshing. So so good! I love Lindsay Lohan so much," echoed another.

A third wrote: "Just finished watching #IrishWish on #Netflix and it was a sweet and enjoyable romcom."

Another added: "Ok but Lindsay Lohan had no right bringing that level of movie star magic to that little Netflix film. She’s so back!"

Whether it's Millie Bobby Brown or Lindsay Lohan at the top of Netflix's charts, I can't complain about seeing two female-led films dominate the streaming platform's top spots.
