Netflix fans say they can't stop watching a binge-worthy mystery-thriller with a brilliant cast.

And if you're a fan of Disney's Murder in the Building, then get adding this one to your watch list right away.

Netflix is on a roll with its suspenseful TV series at the moment, from the gritty Dept Q making waves to The Suvivors storming the charts. Yet sometimes, with so much on offer, we miss out on hidden gems.

And if you're craving more mystery, then this overlooked seven-parter could be your perfect weekend binge-watch.

It's called Bodkin, and it's set in Europe. The show focuses on Gilbert Power (Will Forte), an American podcaster who travels to a small Irish coastal town to investigate a cold case.

He's intrigued by the disappearance of three people during a Samhain celebration decades earlier.

He’s joined by Dubheasa 'Dove' Maloney (Siobhán Cullen) a Dublin-born investigative journalist sent from London after the death of her source, and Emmy Sizergh, his eager assistant. Together, they peel back the town’s dark secrets as characters clash and morals are tested.

You can watch the trailer below:

Taking to Reddit, one subscriber was asking for recommendations on a mini-series with plenty of twists. Among suggestions for Dept Q and any of the Harlan Coben series, others were quick to highlight Bodkin.

"Bodkin is really fun," one person typed, as a second agreed: "This was so well written! Brilliant cast too."

Despite releasing a little more than a year ago, some viewers are only just discovering the series.

Elsewhere on social media, one Twitter user admitted: "Stumbled onto Bodkin on

    Netflix … started watching it… now I can’t stop…"

"I’ve just finished Bodkin on Netflix," another announced. "Really great, and worth binge watching."

"I love the way the Irish can make 'f**k off' sound almost delightful," they quipped.

The series has earned a score of 69 percent from Rotten Tomatoes critics, as they complain: "Bodkin's satire of true crime investigation could use a more compelling mystery to hang its quips on," but they conclude: "The series' sheer eccentricity makes for an intriguing enough tale from the old sod."

Over on IMDB, viewers similarly rated it a 6.9 out of 10.

One admitted to watching it all in an entire night - although they weren't quite satisfied with its conclusion.

Describing it as a 'solid fun watch for a free weekend,' they weighed in: "The dark-comedy-Irish setting works pretty well in this series.

"I especially liked the performance of David Wilmot as a grunty Irish old man and Siobhán Cullen as the annoyed journalist."

But they warned: "The story itself is pretty good but not masterclass."

Another reviewer praised the cast's performance, adding: "I recommend it, it isn't high art but there are some laughs and good performances.

Bodkin is available to stream now on Netflix.
