Netflix's new movie Fall might be the biggest on the streamer right now, but it's also responsible for some serious cases of sweaty palms.

If you're looking for a cute date-night movie to snuggle and hold hands throughout, this is not the one. The thriller aspect might have you cosying up to one another for comfort, but the intensity would just cause all kinds of unpleasant clamminess.

The survival flick recently arrived on Netflix to tell the story of best friends Becky and Hunter, who strive to get their hearts racing by conquering their fears.

Unfortunately, things get a bit too scary for them when they decide to climb 2,000 feet to the top of an abandoned radio tower.

You might think it's hard to feel sympathy for two people who actively made the choice to climb so high in such a remote area, but criticising Becky and Hunter's decision doesn't make their ordeal any less stressful.

The majority of the film focuses on the pair's struggles to get down from the tower, and the title alone indicates it's not going to be a simple descent.

Grace Caroline Currey and Virginia Gardner star in Fall as Becky and Hunter respectively, and it comes from director Scott Mann, who is known for his work on the 2015 film Heist with Robert De Niro.

The film centres around two friends who get stuck on top of a 2,000 foot-tall radio tower.

For a stomach-churning one hour and 45 minutes viewers are left panicking with Becky and Hunter, with many getting not only sweaty palms, but also sweaty feet as the events unfold.

"Omg this was amazing!!!," one viewer responded. "Was so so gripping to watch. My partners and mine hands were sweating."

Another commented: "Watched Fall good film. Scary [sic] of heights so did make my hands and feet sweaty," while a third wrote: "Watched Fall on Netflix and my hands and feet were cold and sweaty the entire time. The anxiiiiety ooooh my god."

There are sweaty palms everywhere since Fall's release on Netflix.

Fall has received a solid 79 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, and has arrived on Netflix after initially being released in theatres last year.

It currently sits in the Number 1 spot of movies on Netflix, though film certainly isn't one for the faint-hearted as one viewer admitted they had to 'skip [through] it' because their legs were 'like jelly', while another said they 'held [their] breath that much [they] could have passed out'.

"I have just watched #fallnetflix and actually cannot see myself climbing the stairs tonight....," one person wrote.

Don't let the fear of getting stuck downstairs put you off hitting play though - Becky and Hunter certainly wouldn't.
