She really went for it

Jennifer Lawrence has joked that her new movie No Hard Feelings, about an 'unf**kable' 19-year-old, was based on director Gene Stupnitsky's life.

J-Law is in her 'sex jokes and slapstick' comedy bag at the moment, in the build up to the upcoming film, and was cracking dirty quips all over during this year's CinemaCon.

The Hunger Games star joined director Gene Stupnitsky at the movie lovers trade show this week to speak about the highly anticipated comedy No Hard Feelings, which sees her play a broke woman trying to seduce an awkward 19-year-old at the request of his parents so he doesn't go to college as a virgin, and so she can make some cash.

Speaking about the film's premise, Jen joked: "And this is based on your life, right?"

Gene quickly assured the crowd: "No, it’s actually based off a Craigslist ad."

Not letting up, though, Jennifer continued: "But you were a virgin for, like, a crazy long time. You were 26?"

Letting out a defeated sigh, Gene simply played an extended clip from the film's trailer and told her: "Jennifer, you’re so hilarious. I wrote this part for you."

In No Hard Feelings, Jennifer plays Maddie, a young woman who finds herself without a car after a messy split with her boyfriend.

Strapped for cash and a car, and on the brink of losing her childhood home, she answers a couple's bizarre Craigslist ad asking for someone to 'date' (aka have sex with) their introverted 19-year-old son Percy to get him out of his shell before he leaves for college.

By the looks of the trailer, it won't be as easy as it looks.

In one hilarious scene, she tries to take him home, but winds up getting pepper-sprayed when Percy thinks she's kidnapping him.

"You're 19! Grow up!" Maddie yells, before washing her face with a garden hose.

In another, Maddie gets a fist to the throat, when Percy tries to defend her honor, but miscalculates the punch, slamming it into Maddie's windpipe.

And, when she strips off in front of him on a night at the beach, encouraging him to come skinny dipping with her, he's got a million excuses not to.

"Just get the f**k in here right now!" Maddie screams at him from the ocean.

As well as J-Law, No Hard Feelings will star Andrew Barth Feldman as Percy and Matthew Broderick and Laura Benanti as his parents, as well as Natalie Morales (Dead To Me), Hasan Minhaj, Kyle Mooney (Saturday Night Live), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Bear), Scott MacArthur, to name a few.

No Hard Feelings will drop in cinemas on 23 June, 2023.
