Harrison Ford hasn't even made his debut in the MCU yet, but he's already doing an amazing job of entertaining fans who are curious about his upcoming role.

The Indiana Jones star is set to appear for the first time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2024, when he will appear as Thaddeus Ross in Captain America: Brave New World.

Though Marvel is known for keeping most of its plot details under wraps, fans have learned that Ford's character, previously portrayed by the late William Hurt, will be the President of the United States in the film.

Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige offered an insight into Ford's involvement in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, saying that he's 'embracing this role'

"This is certainly a big part for Thaddeus Ross," Feige said. "He's the President of the United States in the film. And with Harrison, you think about Air Force One, and you think about some of his confrontations with the president in Clear and Present Danger.

"There's a dynamic between President Ross and Sam Wilson. They have a history together, but in this film, we'll be seeing the dynamic between Captain America and the president of the United States in a way that is just incredible."

So while we know Ford will have a big presence in the film, fans can't help but wonder whether we'll also be seeing an alter-ego appear. This is the MCU, after all.

In Marvel lore, Thaddeus Ross spends his career in the Air Force hunting the Hulk - a decision which ultimately leads him to transform into the Red Hulk.

Ford's version of the character will obviously have slightly more on his plate as the US president, but could the Red Hulk still make an appearance?

Comicbook's Jamie Jirak asked the question outright while sitting down for an interview with Ford, saying: "Might we be seeing a Mr. Ford as the Red Hulk?"

It probably wouldn't have been likely that Ford would outright spill the beans, but fans were still taken by surprise with the response he did offer, considering Red Hulk is a pretty well-known part of Ross' character.

Check it out below:

Seemingly entirely confused by the question, Ford responded: "What is the Red Hulk?"

After having the alter-ego explained to him, Ford kept up his confused appearance as he turned to his Indiana Jones co-star Phoebe Waller-Bridge in an apparent attempt to get confirmation, asking: "You knew? Why didn't you tell me?"

He then concluded: "It may or may not [appear]."

Viewers have been left in stitches by the answer, with one writing: "Never change Harrison Ford, never change! [laughing face]"

Another wrote: "Harrison Ford is the one actor who can act confused and I’ll always 100% believe it. That man does not give AF about your big expansive universes."

"Loooll this had me on the floor," added a third.

It seems like we'll have to wait and see whether Ford really does know what the Red Hulk is, but I'm sure it will be worth the wait.
