Bryan Cranston believes his Super Bowl advert will be the last time he will play Walter White.

While the actor has reprised the role several times since the last episode of Breaking Bad aired, he says it’s potentially time to hang up the white lab coat.

Cranston, who will appear as the notorious drug dealer in a Super Bowl LVII commercial for PopCorners, told Extra: “This might be the retiring episode of the Breaking Bad universe.”

He added: “I’ve had opportunities to bring Walter White into the milieu.

“I did it for Aaron’s movie El Camino and then once again for Better Call Saul we were able to come back and each time, we think, ‘We’ll this is the last time we’re ever going to do this and then PopCorners calls and it was like, ‘Well we’ll do it one more time.’”

In other words, they must’ve shown him a hefty cheque.

While Cranston won’t be reprising Walter again, the actor has teased he may return to the role that made him a household name.

In January, the 66-year-old confirmed the possibility of a Malcolm in the Middle film on the horizon.

However, the Godzilla actor said he would return to Star City on one condition.

He told E!: “We had such a great family on that, and I certainly would be open to that if there was a good idea that came up – like, ‘Oh, that would be fantastic to explore what happened to this family 20 years later’.

He added: “I can’t believe it’s already that, but that would be fun to do.”

And if that wasn't exciting enough, Frankie Muniz has already confirmed he’d be down to do a reboot.

The former child actor told Fox News Digital: "I would love to know what the family’s up to.”

"I know Bryan Cranston is really into the idea and he’s kind of heading writing the script and getting everything rolling."

Muniz added: "So, there might be something. I would be down 100 per cent. But I don’t know - we’ll see what happens."

Looks like the band’s getting back together.
