Just when you thought it couldn't get any weirder...

Not much is known yet about the highly anticipated fourth season of The Boys, but Antony Starr has hinted that it includes the most 'bizarre' work he has ever done.

It's been a wild ride for the Supes so far and, after season three's finale, fans have been dying to see what's next for them.

It might actually be pretty shocking to hear that Antony Starr, who plays Homelander, thinks season four will bring us some of the weirdest scenes yet, since the show was already insane.

From Homelander drinking breastmilk to Termite (Brett Geddes) shrinking himself so he can, well, 'go inside' his partner, there have been some really chaotic moments so far.

So it might be hard to imagine how The Boys can go much further.

But apparently they do...

Speaking to Variety, Antony teased that the hit series 'somehow gets weirder and weirder and weirder.'

He didn't give any specific details, but he did go on to say: "There has to be a ceiling, but we can’t seem to find it."

Thinking about one particularly bonkers scene, he recalled: "I was looking at the person I was opposite, and I said, ‘What are we doing? I can’t believe this! I could have done anything else with my life, but here I am doing this?'

"It was truly the most bizarre thing I’ve ever done."

What on earth are we in for?

And Antony isn't the only one who feels like season four has gone off-the-rails, either.

During filming, The Boys VFX Supervisor Stephan Fleet took to Twitter to express similar feelings.

"I think I just saw the most disgusting thing I have seen working in this business thus far," he wrote.

I have so many questions...

What on EARTH is coming up this season? Are Stephan and Antony even talking about the same scene? Is anyone at all prepared for what's to come?

And if you're still thinking to yourself, 'Oh, how bad could it be?', just take a look at what the cast and crew shared after they wrapped filming.

In photos shared to social media just last month, Hughie, played by Jack Quaid, and Karen Fukuhara, who plays Kimiko, could be seen in a few snaps, smiling from ear-to-ear while drenched in fake blood.

Twitter

Sharing the photos to Twitter, showrunner Eric Kripke wrote at the time: "We're exhausted. Bloody. But triumphant.

"My heart is full of love and gratitude to this all-time-great cast and crew. THAT'S A WRAP ON SEASON FOUR, MOTHERF***KERS."

On the same day, a tweet from the official The Boys Twitter account read: "Just wrapped filmin' the craziest s**t we can legally put on your tubes."

What does that mean??? I don't think I'm ready.
