1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has taken to social media to open up to fans about how she's coping since the death of her husband.
Season four saw Slaton meet Caleb Willingham and get married at a rehabilitation facility in November, 2022. Slaton said on the programme that when she saw Willingham at the altar she 'pictured doves and butterflies' and felt like 'God had opened up the clouds and let the sunlight in'.
Sadly, Willingham recently passed away at the age of 40 and Slaton has taken to TikTok to address the loss.
In a video uploaded to TikTok yesterday (Sunday, 2 July), Slaton explains she's going through 'stages of grief'.
She continues: "Yeah we were having problems, but I loved that man. I still do.
"I miss him like crazy but I wanted to thank everybody for... I'm sorry. Thank everybody for their comments, I appreciate it, I really do."
Slaton noted she's not going to go into 'details of what happened' because of it being 'really personal',
But she explained she'd wanted to respond to a comment sent to her by a user named Sandra because it 'touched [her] heart'.
"I'm aware he's looking down on me. He's not in any pain anymore. I know he's in a better place," she concludes. "Again, thank you all and I love you all from the bottom of my heart. And believe it or not, he really loved you all too."
Fans of the 1000lb Sisters star and her husband have flooded to the post to offer their condolences and support.
One TikTok user said: "I just saw you get married on tv and now i see this on tiktok. I'm shocked. So sorry for your loss Tammy. Stay strong girl."
"Sending prayers for you Tammy. Crying is not a sign of weakness. It’s a sign that part of your heart is no longer here. Hold the good memories," another said.
A third commented: "Dearest Tammy, I'm sooooo truly sorry for your tremendous loss!!!! My heart breaks with yours!! Praying God holds you so tightly in His loving arms!"
And a final resolved: "So so sorry for your loss Tammy. Take the time to cry & greave as long as it takes you. We're here for you sweetie.Stay strong. He's watching over you."
