Burger King employee who went viral running entire store for 12 hours alone reveals she's now been fired
A Burger King employee who went viral for running an entire restaurant for 12 hours alone has claimed she's been fired by the fast food chain.
Nykia Hamilton reached internet fame in July after manning all stations of a Burger King restaurant in Columbia, South Carolina.
Yep, the mother-of-three managed everything, including the front desk and the drive-thru counter of the store.
“[She’s] doing the fries, the burger, the chicken sandwiches. She’s doing everything by herself,” the customer said in the clip, as per the New York Post.

“She’s doing everything she needs to do to make sure everybody is okay in here.”
Speaking to WACH Fox 57, the woman explained that she was working by herself because there was a staff shortage due to someone exiting the company with short notice.
“Had to do the dishes, do prep, do the floor, do the front counter, drive-thru,” she said in an emotional interview.
Well, Hamilton has since updated her fans on TikTok and claimed she has since been fired by Burger King.
"[Burger King] fired me because I’ve been late because of my kids," the 25-year-old said. "My kids come first. Y’all don’t pay for no babysitter, or nothing."
Hamilton then went on to speak about the impact her newfound fame has had on her mental health.
"I’m already aggravated, I’m already depressed, all of this mental s***, and motherf****** f**king with me, so leave me alone," she said.
The 25-year-old has set up a GoFundMe in recent days after losing her job, and has seen over $64,000 donated to her at the time of writing.
She wrote on the fundraiser: "I am a 25-year-old single mom of 3 who works 2 jobs. I just went viral for working on TikTok. If you wanna contribute, it's ok. Thank y'all for the support.
"I wasn't expecting my life to change how it did. I really do everything for my kids."
Prior to her alleged firing, Hamilton told WACH Fox 57 how she routinely works more than 12 hours in a shift, claiming she can’t just put down tools when things get tough because she has three mouths to feed.
“I be missing out on my kids’ lives when I work so much,” she explained. “I have to provide for them, but I really don’t have time to spend with them, and it hurts me a lot.”
The day after her solo shift, Hamilton was drafted in again to keep the restaurant afloat.
“I closed again by myself last night,” she admitted. “I finally got help today. 11 o’clock and will stay until close at 11.”
“We just don’t have any employees. Nobody wants to work anymore.”
